Just haven't been sleeping well, Jude has been coughing up a storm and I am worried it might be coming my way... oh well, is that an excuse to be lazy?? :)

YES! You're better able to fight off bugs when you're well rested!

We went out to order a new cooktop, but the traffic was murderous at the mall. We were nearly backed into a few times, so we just got the heck out of there without parking. We went to Boston Market for turkey instead and headed back here to watch some movies.

I have to ask...what's on the viewing lineup tonight?

is general laziness something I can recover from?? :) LOL

Thank you, though! Just haven't been sleeping well, Jude has been coughing up a storm and I am worried it might be coming my way... oh well, is that an excuse to be lazy?? :)

Sure!!! All you have to do is move to the Kilcher homestead. Then you will be forced to get out there and gather food and firewood!!

Hope Jude feels better soon and that you get some sleep!!!

Good Monday afternoon, friends... drinking some tea, trying to get motivated to do something. Jude is off so we spent the morning at the park with friends. I am just dragging, feeling like I might be getting sick. Blah!

hope it's a great day!!

I hope you don't get sick!

Good afternoon!
What a busy day so far. My two youngest are home from school for Columbus Day and I have been running around with them all day. We did some clothes shopping, picked up some more job applications for my middle one and went to visit my parents for a little while. I wish my oldest could have been with us but she had a few college classes today. I just started a big pot of chicken soup for dinner and now I'm having a quick cup of coffee. I wish I could sit around and relax but I really need to get some chores done around the house. I hope everyone is having a great day!!!

I really need some of your energy!!

Thank you! Big Papi came through again!

Talk about an evenly matched pair of teams ... this series is up for grabs. We'll have no fingernails left by the time it's over!

You're welcome!

Good afternoon, everyone! Sounds like you're all keeping pretty busy! I have been just trying to relax for the day, as it is back to work tonight for me - never easy after being off for a week. DH went back to work today too and then they asked him to work overtime tonight, so he's working a 24 hour shift. My sister will be coming by in a little bit to watch the kids for me.

I am signing off here shortly to go pick up the kids. They were scheduled for daycare and Pre-K today. I don't know what we will do for dinner yet. I guess it will be up to them.

Hope you all have a wonderful evening! God Bless and talk soon!

Have a good night at work!!!

Cool!!! Hope you like it!!!

I just realized that I never said Happy Thanksgiving to our friends north of the border and Happy Columbus Day to everyone here in the states!!!!!

Talk about slacking.

That is so smart to plan meals like this. I might have to try this idea! Star, I am thinking of mailing your ornaments this week. I remember the troubles that Undrtkr had with the MMC cookbook, so I want to make sure you get this package! I will let you know when I get down to the post office.
ohhh that would be wondrful! I will be mailing yours on November 2 because we are going to Bronners and I can mail it in the states so that there will be no problems. I never got my cookbook :-(

Hey everyone! We just got back from a long weekend mini vacation from the Wasach state park to see the leaves peaking and it was beautiful! THe leaves at home are just a tad past peak but are really falling now! Well I have to unpack and get ready for work in the morning. I have missed yall and hope everyone is well! TTYL:)

Good morning everyone!

I wasn't able to stop by yesterday. What a busy day! I did, however, hold my own celebrations for the fact that it was one month until the Christmas Season! 30 today and seeing 29 tomorrow will be nothing short of extraordinary!

Despite Thanksgiving being today, we celebrated yesterday - as I believe most people do because of traveling, etc. It was a delicious dinner filled with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and of course, pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheesecake, apple crisp and a few other delicious deserts. I could barely control myself! All in all, I think it is good that meals like that only happen about twice per year - at least for me... Of course, I will be looking forward to the next one - Christmas Day - even more!

72 days until Christmas Day?! I think I will have to make a massive effort to treasure every inkling of Christmas I see from now on. Not that I don't already, but I think I will have to make an even bigger/conscious effort of appreciation. Hopefully I will be able to go to the Rideau Centre sometime this week to see if I can find some Christmas displays! I'm sure that The Bay may have their Christmas Street on display very shortly!

OK. Well, Kim and I have to drive back to Ottawa shortly. I hope everyone in Canada enjoyed their Thanksgiving and everyone south of the border has done the same for their Columbus Day! There are no remaining holidays until the beginning of the Christmas Season, although some may get Remembrance/Veterans' Day off. Such a wonderful feeling. Our favourite Season will be in here in 30 days!

Have a great Monday, everyone!
so glad you had a great time and a nice dinner. We had two days of thanksgiving, one yesterday and another today. Glad to be home again and relaxing. Back to work tomorrow.

Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadian members. I hope today finds everyone with full bellies and happy times with family.

Today, my wife and I put up the outdoor Christmas lights today. We don't turn them on until November 1st. The holiday light plug the Mike Holmes gave us is amazing. It automatically turns the lights on November 1st at 4:30 pm and turns them off at 2am every morning. I like it when we get home from somewhere and the lights have been turned on.

We also had Rogers install their home security system with 2 cameras at the front and back door. Whenever someone opens the door, I get a video message to my phone. Since the accident, it gives me a nice sense I'd security. Also, I love technology...so it's basically a new toy. It has a tablet device at the front door that tells you the weather and traffic reports. Amazing. :)

Well, I hope everyone is doing well.
