Christmas Countdown - 2013

Sitting here in the "library" enjoying the quiet and a jewel of an October day just outside the window! I made good progress on our YuleTube yesterday, and today I'm hoping to make some good progress in planning what I want to do on the radio. It's so peaceful and slow right now that I almost hate to plunge into working mode, but I'd better get a mug of tea and hop to it! Mr. has to go in to his office later in the afternoon (grrrrrrr ... they have no regard for employees' weekends), so I can continue working on my playlists into the evening.

Our foliage is passing its peak ... we've had some showers, and it's breezy today, so the bright colors are getting ragged and the bare branches are beginning to show. But we have a brilliant blue October sky today, and the remaining leaves are giving a real Technicolor show before they fall!

Mom just called....she said she made me some chicken cheese soup for a nice, fall NFL Sunday afternoon...

She's the best....

Then she said, "But before you eat, I've got a few things I need you to do!"

LOL...well played, Mom.

Good morning,

Woke up and the Red Sox going to the World Series is all over the news around here.I watched the game, but the games end too late around here for kids and anyone else who can't stay up late. The game ended at 12:01am this morning.
We will be heading out to my in laws for a turkey dinner in about an hour, and I will have to sit there and watch the Patriots game with my father in law and bro in law.
My wife and I started talking about what we should get the boys for Christmas, we are really struggling with what they want this year. The Toys R Us Big Toy Book can't get here soon enough.

I will chat with you all later, enjoy your Sunday.

Thanks, I got a new name last night at the reception, was introduced as the cake boss of Stratford. We had a great time yesterday, it was so much fun to visit with family and friends again. The rain and chill was quickly forgotten as we celebrated the wedding!

Good morning MMC! It is a quiet morning so far at the lake - I woke up early, hubby and dog are still sleeping – I am watching Alice in Wonderland and working on my Christmas Afghan! We don't have any definite plans today other than a bike ride with the neighbors 10 AM. It's supposed to be a nice though chilly day! A lot of our neighbors are closing up their trailers for the season today, makes me sad! We will probably close up next weekend, or the following weekend. Next week Sunday night at least I have the ladies night/Christmas open house to look forward to at the hardware store! Always fun!!

our trees are becoming bare too, the rain yesterday and now gusting winds are working hard to strip them of the rest of the leaves.
Take a spoonful of sugar with that work, according to Mary Poppins it will make the job go easier!

Lol, When I went in to get a Dream Book this year I was told they were only for "members". It took me a few minutes to get the woman to to hand one over to me!

Good evening Christmas community! I hope you all had a good weekend.

For me, Sunday evening is the least favourite part of the week mainly because next day is the most challenging day of the week. :/
I have had a chat with my mum a minute ago and somehow I now have a feeling that there's something wrong at home. She said everything is fine but I just have the opposite feeling - if you guys know what mean. It is now really bothering me. :[
I also came across affordable airline ticket to go back to Lithuania for the Holidays but the point is that the flight is during my exam period. I feel quite lost right now because I don't know if I should take risk and buy the ticket anyway.
Oh well. There is a lot of cunfusion going on around here.
I hope every one of you are doing well.
