Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a chilly day here with a high near 50 degree's. Then the first chance of a wintry mix overnight!!!! Not much going on here today. Just a few things to do around the house. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are saying rain tonight & rain/snow at 4, 5, & 6:00am tomorrow. Might have to set an alarm!!! (I get up at 5 anyway... lol)

Just sitting here watching Cheers waiting for the dryer to be done. A chilly start to the morning, I do have to go out and cover the air conditioner, and put away some of the outdoor stuff. I may take a nap later, or watch something Christmassy, I just know I will be taking it easy until everyone is done with work and school.

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

We had a little excitement around here this morning. One of the temp agency workers skipped a couple days from work without calling in, so they let him go. Apparently, there was some friction between him and another worker here, and on his way out the door he threatened to get a gun and come back to get that guy. And he said it loud enough for several of the other employees to hear. So now we're on lockdown, with all the blinds closed and gates & doors locked.

I actually talked to the kid a few minutes ago. I answered a phone call, & he was saying the temp agency won't take him back because he issued a "terrorist threat" here. By the end of the phone call, he was crying and apologizing. I hate it for him; he's young and probably just spouted-off before thinking, but these days you can't risk it. The law is involved, too.

Anyway, my office is nearest to the employee parking lot, so I have gate duty. Yay. LOL

Oh man! That is scary!! Too many weirdo's out there have ruined it for everyone, & you can't make comments like that anymore. (not that it was EVER a good idea to make comments like that! Geesh!) But hope you are all safe & he really has no intenent of following through with his threat!

As I related last week, we now have our building permit; and things are getting busy around here. It will take me forever to get caught up, but I will do a little at a time. First, though, I have to do my part: get the front room ready to move some of the stuff from the kitchen/den area. Hubby has already packed up the dishes and stuff from the cabinets. I am so glad because that is a job I do not like! We have dinner out tonight at the local steak house at the invitation of our Edward Jones financial planner. We have a place for the crockpot in our hallway in which we have a laundry sink area with a cabinet, so we won't starve, LOL! Of course, lots of meals slated for the local restaurants! I will check in when I can and will take pictures along the way. TTYL

How exciting!! Keep us posted!! Have a great dinner out tonight!

My buddy called in sick to work today and decided to come visit me since he hasn't been over in a while. For some reason he took off though when I started talking about needing help getting stuff down from the attic. LOL!!!!!!!

That's okay though, I was tired of hearing about his woman problems.

LOL - at least you know how to get rid of him!!!

This talk of pumpkin pie - I baked pumpkin last night & scooped out the insides to freeze when I realized I don't have any quart freezer bags! So I haven't froze it yet, and before I do, I'm planning to make pumpkin cookies this week. Mmmm! I have 2 more pumpkins to bake yet too - Geesh!

I am participating in the card exchange! I am very excited about it! :] When I got my 'Platinum Membership' as a gift from someone I don't know (Christmas really came very early for me this year), the first thing I did was I signed up for the card exchange. What an amazing idea it is! I bought a pack of amazing Christmas cards from 'Cardfactory' a while ago and I'm now looking forward to sending them out. ^^

Good evening everyone! I hope that everyone is having a warm and cozy evening! It was raining so badly here today! I guess it haven't rained that badly here for a while. Luckily, it wasn't windy so I didn't end up being completely soaked by the time I got to the campus. I'm siting in my friends kitchen right now, drinking tea and eating chocolate. She is working on her assessment which we have to submit tomorrow. I finished mine earlier today so I'm now doing some fictional writing. I've been having quite a lot of inspiration and good ideas recently so I'm trying to put them all down in fluent sentences. It looks quite weird right now because half of the text I wrote in English and the other half in Lithuanian. ^^ But I will translate everything into English at the end.

I was camping this week when I got an urgent call from home, so when I got there I found out my mom died suddenly Saturday morning and I am just leaving now Utah to go up to Portland to go the funeral and I may not be around here for a few days maybe longer but just wanted to ask for prayers cause I need em!!!
