Good Morning!

I am just popping in quickly before a long day at work. The clocks went back by an hour this morning so I have a little time to spare. Yesterday was a nice relaxing day spent watching Harry Potter, baking and playing games with the kids.

I hope you all are having a nice weekend. Anyway I've got to go, I need to get a couple things sorted before I start as tomorrow morning I have an appointment at the hospital. I have to have some treatment and I'll be honest I am dreading it!

Still raining here and we are expecting stormy weather . Have a great sunday everybody!

(we turned back the clock this morning...)

I have wrapped advent calendar gifts
Done with 72 gifts, and 72 more to go!

Also baked bread and carrot cake...
While listening to Christmas radio in my kitchen!

My daughter started taking meds (chemotherapy) this weekend
because of her arthritis...
She's feeling nauseous, but other than that she's fine
Im so proud of her!♥

Well, I have to go back to my chores...
I'll be back later this evening!

It is going to be partly sunny with a high of 55 degrees today.
I just had the dogs out back but I'm not going to walk them until later. Maggie wanted to go back to bed. My husband was up late working in the house and he is still in bed resting this morning. Maggie loves to snuggle with him.
Not a lot planned for today. I know my husband wants to go out and look at cars. I still wish I could keep my truck. My hubby wants to get rid of it now while its still worth something, before there are too many miles on it. I just don't know what I want. I'm use to being up high in the truck and I like that. I'm thinking maybe one of those crossover vehicles. I don't know. I'm going to look at some online now. I also need to make some meatballs and sausage and get a pot of sauce going for dinner. I think I'll pick up some fresh raviolis later. Other than that, daily chores for me. The girls all have to work for a few hours. But we'll meet up for dinner.

I'm sitting here with the baby in her Moses basket sleeping, drinking coffee, curled up with a fire and a blanket, and watching Christmas Vacation.....wonderful. Just the way it should be!

It also looks like the strong storms will be out of here Halloween morning now so the kids may still get to go out. Nothing big on my agenda for today. Just a few things to do around the house. It's the Sunday before Halloween ... just over two weeks before the Season begins ... up to my elbows in playlists for Kringle Radio ... time is speeding by already! It's exhilarating and frightening at the same time. There never seems to be quite enough time to savor all the sweetness of the Season while it's here.

Many of the employees at my office have young children, so on Halloween afternoon the office is holding a costume parade and desk-to-desk trick-or-treat for the kiddies. It should be a lot of fun seeing the costumes and handing out candy! I'll be handing out candy here at home, too, that evening, but we usually don't get many doorbells.

Good morning, Merry! I completely agree with what you said. By the time the "season" is really here, it seems as if there is not much time to enjoy it. I wish that the season was about 4 months long...then I'd feel as if I had enough time to celebrate! Halloween sounds like a lot of fun at the office! I love to see kids dressed up in their costumes. Thank you, Sugar! I had a mole removed and then the biopsy showed that the cells were atypical which meant that it could potentially be precancerous. I had to go back a few days ago so that they could cut deeper and around the area that I already had removed. I had to get deep stitches and then stitches on the top. It took about 45 minutes to get all of the stitches and I think I have around 30 of them.

How are you doing & how is your family?

Good morning, MMC! I guess I should say good afternoon because it is almost noon here.

Today is going to be a relaxing Sunday for the most part. My team plays at 4 PM so I am looking forward to watching the game. The season has been disappointing so far, but we won the last couple of games so I am hoping that we're making a comeback. I have to write a 30-50 page paper that is due tomorrow evening, I didn't even start yet! I am very experienced at writing papers by now, though, so I think I could have it done within a couple of hours.

I cannot believe that Halloween is this week. We are getting so close to Christmas and the season - I love it! How many Trick or Treaters do you guys usually get at your house? Depending on the weather, we have anywhere from 95-135. I usually try to sit on the porch to pass out the candy, but if it is too cold I am staying in and I will let them knock.

This will be the first year at the home we are in now, and I anticipate quite a few trick-or-treaters. A co-worker lives a mile away, and they see well over 300

I sent Adrian out for more candy! We may have leftovers, but that's ok too lol

It'll be nice, because we never saw many in Las Vegas.

Good morning to everyone!

I am a little apprehensive about Halloween this year due to the fact that since we moved to our house 14 years ago, we have always decorated our house (big time) on the outside as well as the inside. Since we had our home previously up for sale at the end of June thru end of September, I packed all the outside Halloween decoration up and placed them in storage.

So, I'm expecting to be asked over and over again, "what's going on", "where's your decorations", why are you moving", etc, etc, etc... Especially since our home will be re-listed on Halloween Day with the new sign going up...

Usually, we go thru about anywhere's from 25-30 pounds of candy each year, so we'll just have to wait and see if there will be less Trick-or-Treaters since there will be no decorations outside...

so many choices, isn't wonderful! Personally I like a mini van, they have fold down seats so you can have your choice of how many to seat. Lots of room if you have cargo to pick up and still lets you sit higher than cars to give a better view.
