Good morning, HMG! I used to hate coffee but now I love it so I am hoping I don't become too addicted, lol! I like the flavored kinds. That sounds like a wonderful day planned! I love running places with my mom. I don't like the process of car shopping, either. I remember when I got my car it was very annoying. I'll probably be buying a car within the next couple of years and the only part I like is actually choosing a vehicle. Have a good day.

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be decent day here with a high in the mid 60's. The clouds will start moving int his afternoon though and the rain should arrive sometime overnight. I'm dragging this morning after getting just 3 hours of sleep. I have some stuff to do though so I'm trying to knock it out this morning and then hopefully I can squeeze a nap in this afternoon. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

Good morning MMC! We started out with a really foggy morning here. School was delayed 3 hours! Not much else going on. Tonight I am going with my Mom/sisters/sil to play bingo at a benefit for a neurological center. They have Vera Bradly bags & Longenberger as prizes. Should be a fun night! Hope my hubby remembers he's on his own tonight! LOL! (I bet he forgot to leave me extra $$$ for bingo too) Darn!! :smile:

Oh how did I wish that work could have been delayed for 3 hours this morning...the bed was feeling really good for a change~:-D

Morning all. hope your all well on this cool Tuesday afternoon. We are getting a new bedroom fitted, so I'm hanging around the house like a spare wheel lol. The dark nights are well and truly here, yeah. Just need some Christmas lights to brighten everything up. I'll have to make do with some candles till then. Have a good night folks!

Good morning, everyone! I'm a little frustrated this morning. For class we have to critique our group members' papers, which were supposed to be 30-40 pages in length. One of my group members turned in a paper that is literally one page. I have no idea how I am supposed to critique that when there is nothing to it! Have I mentioned I cannot wait to graduate?!

It might be worth pointing out in your critique that it would be a little more substantial if the object of your critique had any substance!

I remember feeling that way in a college literature class when we were assigned to write 10 to 12 pages on the meaning of a play (each student was assigned to read a different play). Mine was "Rhinoceros" by Ionesco---an Absurdist play that, by definition, has no meaning! I got around it by reiterating that Absurdists insist that their work has no meaning---but if we were determined to impose meaning on it anyway, here's what it might mean. I got a good grade for it!

I hope you are able to finish it by Christmas & share a picture!!! If I had more time this week, I would probably be able to finish mine - but it's not looking like it's going to happen! I was just a hooking along last night when I spilled ice water all over my Afghan all over my legs, my foot & all over the recliner! So I soaked that up & moved to the couch - then the Afghan was so wet it was making the couch all wet (soft leather)– so I gave up & hung the afghan over a chair to dry! I got maybe a row done, if that! I guess it wasn't meant to be… LOL

I hope I can finish it in time, too, but I'm not going to sweat it. I like the look of it and I'm tempted to keep it!

I'm glad your spill was only ice water (although that was bad enough!). I have an old popcorn tin (one of the big ones that had three flavors in it) that I cleaned out to keep odds and ends of yarn in. One day I knocked a glass of soda off the lamp table and into the tin full of yarn. Bad language ensued! I think I also knocked over my pencil-cup full of hooks trying to clean up the mess. The whole stash of leftover yarn had to go. Ugh. Hope your afghan is dry now so you can stitch on it again! Don't forget to post a picture.

The World Series has been a good excuse to sit down and put a few rows on the afghan while we cheer on the Sox!

I agree - I'm ready for some Chrismtas lights to light up the night! The sun was starting to go down at 5:45 last night, which means by Sunday it will start going down at 4:45 already! UGH!

Oh yes, it could have been worse!!!!! Bad language would have ensued from my mouth too if it were! Ha ha!! What a bummer to have to get rid of all that yarn! I love my coffee - that would have been bad. And sometimes during stitch 'n b*tch we have (red) wine - that would be very bad! So water is an easy fix, it was just COLD!!!! :cold: I think maybe you should keep your afghan. When you put all that time into it doing a sc (and if you really like it...and it IS Christmas) - I think it should be yours! :grin:

Greetings friends. Due to some testing tomorrow I have been prohibited by doc to workout for the past two days. I'm not used to being at home rather than at the gym on Monday evening. I'm rather enjoying the break. Hoping for good results with doc. Have a great evening everyone!

I have made it through one of the toughest stretches I have had at work in a long time. The last 6 days have been H E double hockey sticks. My back has been in constant pain, so my day off tomorrow I will probably lay down most of the day.
Hopefully I can get back to a little bit of normalcy, I also have Thursday off so I will be able to get a bit more rest.
The Red Sox are one win away from a World Series title, this has been a very entertaining series thus far. I am looking forward to Wednesday night's game.
Also on Wednesday, they are speaking of a possible wintry mix, I hope to see a little snow!!!!

I am heading to bed, I am beyond exhausted.
