I just noticed a neighbor across the street has their outdoor Christmas lights up!!!

It's 29 degrees this morning. LOVING IT!!! I told Wayne, "pinch me, am I dreaming"? I still have the horrid memories of summer heat on my mind. Ha ha! This is the weather I am loving! I still have not turned on my central heat, just bundled up enjoying the chilly air in the house. Yep, I am crazy! I just now saw our 7 day forecast and it will be 80 degrees this weekend! What?!

I am way behind on here and have missed the Special Post. The only one I have read is Made's (which was wonderful!). I will have to "dig" through here to find them all but will do that soon! I have been busy busy but with all good stuff!

Have a Merry Day my Christmas Friends!

Good morning CAH!
I'm going to pick up a humidifier for Maggie today, thanks again for the suggestion. I'll let you know how it goes.
Have a great day and enjoy the cooler temperatures!

Decorating the trees then! Yay!!!
And then, getting the rest of the decorations out.
We will do the village last, it is quite the undertaking!!

When are you guys decorating?

I know what you mean about getting the village set up! If I put my whole village out it will take almost 2 days. I hope I get the energy to put it all out this year. In the past few years I only set up part of it.

I can't wait to see pictures of yours!

Good morning all. It was below freezing this morning and I loved it! Hope you all have a good day!

It's wonderful, isn't it?! I am loving it here too!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!!!! Brrrrr!!!! It's cold out there!!! We are currently at 18 degree's but we should warm up to the upper 30's. I still haven't turned on the heat thanks to my neighbor cranking his and warming my apartment nicely. He has his window's open this morning though so I don't know what he is doing over there. He's letting all of the heat out though and my apartment is a little chilly. So I broke out the space heater. Not much planned for today. I have several things that I need to get done so I'll probably just keep jumping between all of them and not really get anything done. LOL!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS SEASON 2013

I would have loved to hang out with You guys and do the countdown...but I was too tired....lol.....Kandice is sick....so we are home today....which means to cheer herself and myself up.....we will start decorating the house!!!!

Hope Kandice feels better soon!!!!

Good morning, friends!!

Happy Pines Day!!

It is a chilly 21 degrees here, with light flurries ❄️ So pretty!!

I work the rest of the week, and have the weekend off =] Very excited about that.
Decorating the trees then! Yay!!!

It was so nice to welcome the season with you all last night- talk about Christmas magic.

Hope you all have a blessed day!!

xx

I will decorate as soon as my husband finishes painting. I'm trying not to lose my patience!
I bet you're looking forward to this weekend, sounds like it's going to be a good one!
Have a great day Snowflake!!!

Some thoughts:

Well, what a fantastic Special Post Series it has been.
Seems like it just keeps getting better by the year. What talented
writers we have!
And what a wonderful run-up to the Season we had last night.

In recent years, we have heard alot about the value of "diversity".
Diversity does indeed have its place but it seems to me it's the primary cause of conflicts.

By contrast, what I have noticed on this site over the years is the value of non-diversity. It is our COMMONNESS of feelings, interests and beliefs that has united us into a wonderful close-knit community that has been remarkably conflict-free.
(Just look at other sites, especially political ones, if you truly want to see a contrast in tone.)

Here. One place. One santuary.
One location where everyone feels at home and comfortable with each other.

Enjoy the 50-day Christmas Season to the fullest, fellow Christmas Comrades in arms.
And feel as one and at peace.

Merry Christmas, Everyone!

- Crown

Wonderfully said!!!! Thank you for leading us along the way and for all of your hard work!!!!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS SEASON TO ONE AND ALL!!

Happy Christmas season to you too Crown and thank you so much for everything that you do!

Good morning everyone!!!! HAPPY PINES DAY!!!

Happy Pines Day Holiday, hope you have a great day!

Good morning all. It was below freezing this morning and I loved it! Hope you all have a good day!

Good morning Ryan, hope you have a good day too!

Good Wednesday morning, and the start of the Christmas Season, my Christmas friends!

I'm sorry I couldn't stay up late enough to see the season start with all of you. I'm such a wimp after 9pm!

Today is our regular trip to dance lessons and guitar lessons. After that, Jacob and I have tickets to see Joe Bonamassa live in Savannah! He's an INCREDIBLE guitar player. Here's a quick link, if you're interested: AWESOME GUITAR PLAYING HERE!

It'll be a late night, but what a cool concert to see!

I hope y'all have a great day!

Enjoy the concert!!!

Glad you are getting a break from that crazy heat!!!

One of these days, I'm going to take the time to sift through all of the old countdowns to find the special posts and make a thread with all of them.

It was great having you here with us last night!!!

I'm slowly packing away the every day stuff away and putting Christmas stuff out. The bulk of it is still up in the attic though and since I'm still in this boot for another week, I'm trying to be good and not climb up the ladder to get it all down

I can't wait to see pictures of your decorations!!!! I'm sure it will all look beautiful!!!!!

Good morning everyone!

Happy first day of the Christmas Season! Yes. The countdown last night was splendid. My apologies for my absence when it mattered most, but there isn't much you can do during a major technical error!

The Season we have counted down to all year has arrived! Christmas music. Christmas lights. Christmas decorations. Christmas joy. They have all arrived. I hope everyone has the opportunity to make the 2013 Christmas Season the best one yet.

I couldn't sleep last night. The excitement was too much. Because of this, I couldn't awake this morning when I received a phone call to teach. I faintly remember hearing my phone ring, but being unable to move to answer it. Oh well. Hopefully I get a call tomorrow morning!

There's so much to do today. I have to purchase a few more sections of Christmas lights for our hallway. And tidy up the apartment a little bit. In celebration of the beginning of the Season, my dad is coming to visit for a few days. Well, it's not really in celebration. It just happens to coincide with the first day of the Christmas Season! Either way, it will be good to see him until Saturday!

I hope that everyone had a great time waking up to the first day of the Christmas Season. I know I did! Now, it's 'Pines Day, too. I look forward to heading into the 'Pines and seeing that Camel's decorations. I'm sure he is just as excited as we are... perhaps even more since the first day of the Season rarely falls on his special day!

Well, we're here, everyone. Our Season of magic and wonder has begun. There's only one way to end these morning posts for the next 50 days. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Good morning!
I just walked the dogs and it's chilly out there. It's in the 20's this morning and we will warm up to temperatures in the mid 30's.
I am heading out to run a few errands. My first stop will be Target. I realized yesterday a couple of the cars are missing snow brushes & ice scrapers. We keep them in each car, I don't understand how they could just disappear. And speaking of things that disappear, I'm also heading to Petco for cat toys. Last stop will be Rite Aid, then back home to catch up with my chores.
I hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

I hope Kandice gets well soon!!!

Thanks.....she caught a flu-like virus.....sneezing.....a little higher temperatures....I kept her home from school now....she would be running around there, probably forget to zip up her wintercoat....wouldn´t put on her cap and stuff like that....so she better rests at home and will be good as new by Monday!!!

Thanks for the reminder about the ice scrapers!!! My mom lost hers this summer too, so I gave her the one out of my truck. Then she broke it. So luckily I had a spare one in the closet. So now I need to get a new one for my truck and another spare one before it starts getting to bad out there!!!
