Christmas Countdown - 2013

I finally had to call the email provider. I guess there is an email delivery outage and they are working on it. It could be up to 12 hours for it to be fixed. I checked into it when a high school friend tried to send me some emails and they were bounced back to him. He let me know and then I noticed that I had not received any emails since 9:41 this morning and I knew that wasn't right at all, LOL! My friend told me that Homeland Security has my mail, LOL!

First time I'm able to check in today! I decorated the big tree and the little tree today, and received our first Christmas card of the year. Our packages have all been mailed, but I still have some cards to write. I took today off for an extra-long Thanksgiving weekend, and it's still not long enough---I'm not ready to go back to work tomorrow. Well, I have this evening yet to indulge in Christmas! And I can listen to the new podcast on the drive in tomorrow.

Good afternoon, MMC family! How are you all doing today? I am well. Just getting caught up on laundry and keeping the kids entertained.

What are you all up to? Not much going on here today. DH is working. He's working 48 hours straight, which I particularly don't like - he makes me nervous when he does that - I get worried about his sleep, but he reassures me if he does get busy, they would let him nap if he needs it. I was off yesterday and go back to work tonight. DH will be working until tomorrow morning and he will be off then for 4 days. I will be looking forward to that!

Yesterday, I took the kids to see Santa. EA did well, actually sitting on Santa's lap and getting a picture, so sorry CAH, no picture like last year! :lol: DS however, wouldn't even go near him. He screamed as soon as he saw the big guy. Later on in the day, we went with my mom and did a Santa train. The kids really enjoyed that and DS warmed up to Santa little more there, but still wouldn't get a picture with him. That evening, I just stayed the night at my parents, since I had only had 2 hours or so of sleep in 24 hours. I had about 30 minutes or so drive and I just didn't want to chance it, especially with the kids in the car.

Well, I am going to get the kids lunch and read the posts from today. I hope you're all well and having a great day! I can't believe how fast the season is going. I hope it slows down some. Talk to you guys later on! God Bless and keep smiling! :grin:

Glad you guys had a fun time yesterday and that you decided to stay at your parents house. We don't need anything happening to you or the kids!!!!!

Snow Thursday into Friday!!! They aren't saying totals yet on the news but on facebook they said 3 to 5 inches.

Thanks, Seawaters. On my days off, I feel blah, but some how still find done energy to keep going. I just keep telling myself that I'm always a mom first. I do know that I have to take care of myself too, but my two kiddos need me and mean the absolute world to me as well!

I have SO MUCH to get caught up on. My computer has been acting ugly for the past week. At least at first I thought it was my computer. Now, I think it was our email. I could not delete messages and I would be reading the emails and the screen would jump to my sign in page--a total pain, if you know what I mean. Of course we could not contact anyone because of the holidays, and now we are busy getting ready for the concrete contractor. We talked with him this morning, and Hubby is trying to do all he can to get ready for him. He "put his back out" on Wednesday and has been sitting in the chair with the heating pad ever since. Our chiropractor was out of town until today, so Hubby went in this morning to have an adjustment. The estimate was lots higher than we expected, but the guy is good, licensed, and can start right away. I am going to stay logged in to MMC and hope to post throughout the day. TTYL

I hate when the computer does not do what it should! Hope yours gets sorted out quickly. Sorry, no hlep from me, I call my daughter when mine needs help.
Praying your hubbys back gets feeling better soon.

Hi everyone! I've missed you all the past couple of weeks. Things have been super busy but they finally slowed down as of today. I attended my last college class ever this evening. I technically have two weeks of class left but all that I have to do is critique a peer's work this week, tidy up my paper the next week, and then I'm done!

My parents are fine with me relaxing and enjoying Christmas as I always have on college break. I don't have to start looking for a job until after the New Year! I'm not looking forward to all of the interviewing and applying!

I am going to try to do some catching up but that should be almost impossible with how much I've missed!!
