We got our tree!!!

Saw some cute table trees and said to Noah, "We should get one for Mum and Pap!" (My mom and dad). My mom has been kinda down the last few Christmases and hasn't done a tree. They have these little 2' entry way type trees they pop out in the living room to make it look decorated for mine and Noah's sake on Christmas, but she just hasn't felt like decorating or celebrating due to some family issues.

We talked about it, bought our tree and then went back to buy one of the small ones for them. When we went back in the man asked if something was wrong. I explained what I intended and went for the small trees.
He cuts me off and says, "Hang on... we can do something better than those. I have an idea." He takes a 6' frasier that had a bare spot down low which wasn't selling because of it. Cuts off the bottom, cleans it up and voila, he presented us with the prettiest little 3.5' Frasier Fir. Then said, "Hey that was a damaged tree... I can't possibly charge you more than $5 for it." He winked at us and handed over the little newly netted tree.

And I went home with our tree, a little bit of a Christmas spirit for my parents and my first experience of "good will toward men," for this Christmas season. :-)

Congrats on getting your tree!!! That was sweet of you to get your parents a tree and even sweeter of the guy at the lot to do what he did. It's good to hear that there are still some nice people out there.

Good morning everyone!, I'm up early this morning, off to Brecon cathedral to put up a tree for the Christmas tree festival. I'm kinda worried as I had a trial at it yesterday and it's not right but I am sure I will get it right once I have the cathedrals ambience to inspire me! :)

Put lights on a tree in my front yard .. Looked horrible ,,,, took them down... Regroup... Time for coffee!!! Yabba!!!!!

Just woke up to 6 more inches of powdery snow! so I would say we have about 12 inches altogether on the ground here from Monday to today! What a great way to wake up on weds!!! I am about to call in my Christmas greeting for this sunday party! have a great morning everyone!

I forgot to say that my Dawgs had a great season. I am waiting to see what Bowl they get this year. They ended the season 9-4 which is good because some years have been much worse but I through thick and thin will be a Georgia Bulldog fan! I use to love going to their games but I guess my age is showing because it was just too many people drinking and loud and it was just much funner watching at home with some friends over! It's almost sad that it's all over now the leaves have fallen and have been cleaned up...we are in the last month of the season! It always goes so fast!!! I will try to slow down and enjoy every day!

Good evening,

I am still feeling lousy, and my eyelids are quite heavy. We watched "The Santa Clause," again and then "Scrooged." I love ABCFamily's 25 Days of Christmas, just wish it was on all day during the week like it is on the weekends.

I need to get to sleep.

Good night, everyone.

I hope you're feeling better this morning!

***** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 22 *****

Good Morning, Folks.
And Wow again!
Can you believe we are starting the FOURTH week of Christmas Season 2013?
Seems like yesterday we were counting down here to begin the Season.

Gee. Time is really escaping us.
Behold the count, as it slowly dwindles down into a bedpost:
Days to Christmas Day: 21 (THREE WEEKS FROM TODAY!)
(I can almost hear those sleigh bells jingling!)

The upward temperature creep continues and it is really quite nice for this time of the year here.
However, we must enjoy it while we can as cold weather makes a return visit by Saturday.
Right now, we are at 52 degrees here in the capital city after a light rain.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday evening at the 'Pines, Friends!
Each week, Carl gets more an more into the Christmas spirit......and the wilder the entertainment gets.
(Oh, and the Christmas decorations are back up and elegant is the word. You must come and see!)

Good evening everyone! I wanted to check in since it has been while! Honestly turning 39 yesterday was the cherry on top of a well shall we say less than a cake walk of a year. I know I am not old but as I have said many times I have an unhealthy fear of growing old. I was like this when I hit 25 but it still gets kind of worse every year. It's not really about the physical parts of getting older...(well maybe it kinda is now I think about it) it's about regrets of the past and stuff like that. Well Anyway enough of babbling... the weather has been great..it's been snowing most of the day and over the weekend I went snow boarding all day everyday.. I am glad I now live like an hour drive from 4 different ski resorts! I am taking full advantage of that. It beats going to the gym or jogging every morning that is for sure. I hope everyone has had a great Thanksgiving weekend and has a great month ahead!
my brother would love to live where you are, he and his family are avid skiers.
