Just getting in from the Mall! it was busy but I am just glad we are in one piece! Not from the hellish crowds at the mall but from the weather/driving on the streets. Visibility is down to about a 2 I think. Freezing fog! It's not just you can't see but the fog is freezing on contact so it's like a constant freezing drizzle. It will not let up until Tuesday. Today our high was 31F and tonight we are forecast to go to 5F with high of around 25 on Sunday with constant freezing fog and drizzle.

We are about to put dinner on, we have invited a lady from church to eat dinner and visit with us tonight. She lost her husband back in August and her kids are grown and have not come yet for the holidays, she said they were coming next weekend so we did not want her to sit around lonely so we have invited her several times to come over. She loves playing with the boys and her and Brandi have a bond because she is a retired school teacher, one night she spent the night because we all stayed up so late drinking wine and socializing playing games. So anyway she may end up spending the night tonight because of the dense fog,in fact I may just insist. Have a good night I have to go put the Duck on!!! We are almost inside the 10 day window!!! G'night!

Spent a lovely time in the peace of this morning writing up my fortnightly menu while watching I'll be home for Christmas and Holiday wishes. After a quick dip in the pool I've done about 90% of my christmas groceries so I can start homebaking. I really don't want to go near the shops as we get closer to Christmas break. It's like people think they are going to starve and are ransacking the shelves making a right mess.
I have some special cuts of meat to find tomorrow which will freeze fine but I'll leave the ham 'til next Saturday.
Found some movies to add to my collection Saving Santa and 3 day Christmas both new to me.
Going out for dinner tonight and then back to watch one of my new movies. Cheers everyone.

Enjoy your movies!

The power is back! Yay!
Thank you all for thoughts and prayers♥

Hope YOU have a super super Saturday!

I'm so glad your power is back! I hope your Saturday was super, too! {{{hugs}}}

Hi everyone! We have a snowy Saturday here! My mom is finally feeling better today. No fever and she has been able to eat. Hopefully it isn't a fluke!

What do you all have planned for the day? I think I need to head out to the store sometime this weekend to buy more wrapping paper and boxes. We are almost out! I am TERRIBLE at wrapping presents...does anyone have any tips?! My dad loves to wrap them and offered to do it for me but I feel like that's part of the fun of getting people gifts!

We're having a cozy day inside. We are ordering in for dinner today so no one has to go out in the snow. I plan to make hot chocolate later while we watch Christmas movies. I love days like these!

I am glad to hear she is feeling better.

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be a chilly and snowy day here. Just about perfect for a polar express train ride. Unfortunately I have to go to the funeral home to say goodbye to one of my former scout leaders first. I also need to get out there and shovel the couple of inches of snow we have already gotten. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!

I'm sorry you for your loss, made. I will be praying for his family and friends. {{{HUGS}}}

I hope you and your nieces had fun on the Polar Express ride!

Goodmorning all!

Well our excitement continues... LOL last night my son broke several toes and has a hairline fracture in one of the metatarsals. Playing flag football with some friends last night. :-( Doah!! Lunatic went to competition this morning anyway. I said, "You know you really should stay home with your foot up and just chill out! C'mon... we'll do pay per view or rent something... pizza...I'll make your favorite cookies!"

My nephew usually stays with us on the weekends and is almost 5 years younger than Noah said, "Ummmm yeah... let's do that! That sounds really really good to me!!" ROFL

Noah said, "No way!!! I don't miss competitions! I gave my word I would be there!!" So I did something weird... LOL I took the sole off the bottom of a pair of his hunting boots that was about to head for the trash anyway. I then had him put on a sock over his taped toes and foot and then duct taped the sole to his socked foot. He stood up and said, "Oh my gosh! That's 1000 percent better!! Let's just leave this on!! LOL

Justin asked, "Can we still do movies, pizza and cookies when we come back?" LOL

Glass engraving and Christmas cards are on my agenda today.

Hope everyone has a very blessed and wonderful day! :-)

Good afternoon to all! Haven't been on for a few days because exam revision is driving me crazy. I have one, which is the most challenging, on Monday and the other one, less stressful, on Thursday so I can't wait until they all are done!

We are having our great Christmas concert tonight in the memorial church of the campus. It's going to be much more people this year than there were last year. (Should be something around 300+) I am doing some Christmas reading, and I hope that I won't mess everything up. ^^

See you all later tonight after I'm back home from the event.

Hope you all are having a nice weekend so far. Best wishes!

Good luck with the exam revisions! I'm sure you will do fine with your reading - enjoy the Christmas concert!

I'm so glad your mom is feeling better - I will keep praying for her! It sounds like you have a lovely evening planned - enjoy!

Alright all, I am off to take a nap before work tonight. I want to wake up a little early and leave a little early, as I know I will have to take caution with the snow covered roads.

Talk to you guys tomorrow! Enjoy the rest of your evening! God Bless!

Safe travels tonight, Sugar! I hope your shift is an easy one, too!!

It has been many years since we had a picture with most if us together for Christmas!

( left to right, also youngest to oldest)
Hank, Rick , John, Bill, me, Rycki with our mom in front . Albert is missing he would be between Bill and me.

We were so surprised when Rick showed up unannounced all the way from British Columbia, I thought mom was going to faint when he walked in.
It has been 10 years since we had Rick here.
It was a wonderful party!

Aw, that is a priceless photo! So happy for all of you that you were able to get together!!!

I'm glad Brandi and the boys arrived safe and that you survived the trip to the mall! We occasionally get freezing fog here in MI - beautiful to look at, but not fun to be out in! Have a fun evening!

Good morning pals! We are about to head out to the dreaded mall for some Shopping!!! I wanted to stay here and babysit the boys but the wife said that would not be an option since we are meeting one of her friends and their babies are coming too. so we will be in a crowded mall with 3 babies from the age of 1 to 3!!! FUN STUFF RIGHT? I will let yall know if I made it back in one piece tonight! We are having roast duck and brown rice! YUM! hope everyone has a great day! My heart just sank since they said just 9 more shopping says until the bid day! Where in the world has the time gone. Honestly the last 4 years my post Christmas blues have been controllable since I became a member here, but for some reason I think this year is going to be horrid maybe because the holidays were so short this year and all the loss I have suffered 2013...I will be here probably starting the PCB thread this year! I usually don't get them until around New Years Eve. oh well have a great days friends!

Thinking of you, friend.

Sending love, prayers, and cheer your way!

((Hugs))

Good evening, MMC!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!! Several inches of snow and it is still falling. I even made some snow cream - I have most of it in the freezer for a treat later in the week.

Busy day here: worked on tasks for the store I could do at home, swept off the porch several times and worked on an afghan. My voice is coming and going so I made a spicy dish for dinner, Thai peanut chicken. Yummy!

Palmer has been hugging the heat registers and as a result keeps getting zapped by things - she has quite the electrifying personality!

The local radio station played their top 10 Christmas songs as voted on by the local listeners: Holly, Jolly Christmas was number one. I'm so bummed - can't get the Greasy Skillet on the radio tonight nor can I get the player to load on my computer. I hate missing the Christmas shows - RJD does such a wonderful job recording them!!!

I have to work tomorrow - not looking forward to it as I am still feeling quite under the weather. An early night is most definitely called for!

Be safe and MERRY dreams!!!

Hope you have a good nap & night at work!

Drive safe!!

I just got home from work, and the snow hasn't let up all day ❄️ The roads are slick. But the snowflakes are so big & pretty!!
