I was thinking more like a glass of wine or six!

That is a lot to squeeze in to your one day off, I feel bad that I complained!
We definitely deserve a glass (or two) of wine after all this!

Same here, MC.

Thank you---Mr. only has to drive a few miles from the train station, but he's working until 7 p.m. tonight, so I still worry about how heavy the snow will be when he's in it. I have to keep an eye on the driveway and shovel a way through the ridge after the plow goes by.

No work came in until 4 p.m.---then they needed me to review and correct an 8-page PowerPoint presentation in less than 30 minutes. Insane!

I haven't been responding to individual posts, but I'm reading them sending prayers up where they're needed.

I am going to make up for it next year, too, HMG!!! I have so many new recipes that I am copying and new cookbooks that I have bought and/or ordered that it will take me several years to catch up, LOL!

Seawaters, happy birthday to your husband!
I'm having a hard time this Christmas too, with all of the construction going on. It's not easy. I don't have a tree up either. I'm definitely going to make up for it next year. I'm looking forward to it!

I found out the tool is called Rigid Drywall Screw Gun. Tools today are amazing!

we had a year when we had no tree either, so I know how you feel.
I have one of those auto screw putter inners too, you got the name just right! I got mine from my son for Christmas a few years ago.
Happy birthday to your hubby!

Congratulations, Snowflake. You are so deserving!

Maybe a little, but not as much as they would have been before the promotion. That's one of the main reasons I took it, more guaranteed hours on a regular basis =]

I just had my first review, and it went very well!!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes for Hubby. We had leftovers from our Chinese dinner for tonight. There is still enough for at least one more meal, probably for Hubby's lunch tomorrow! I hope to get on tomorrow and let you know what all we are doing. TTYT

Goodnight, Everyone!!!!!

Update on my mom. Good news: Her ovarian cancer sonogram came back normal and good. Her blood work also came back normal. The bad news: That led the doctors to be clueless and wonder if she has a serious infection going on somewhere. The other good news: As of this morning, her urine sample came back and led them to believe that she may have kidney stones. This sounds possible because she had them a few months ago. So, today she has to run for some tests and that includes one to check for the stones. Kidney stones could be good or bad. If they are small enough to pass then she should feel better for Christmas. If they are big and need to be removed surgically, that likely wouldn't be taken care of until after Christmas and she would feel no better in the meantime.

So now we just have to hope that there is no infection elsewhere and that if she has kidney stones that they are small.

Thank you for your prayers! We appreciate them!

I am glad to hear the cancer tests came back negative, I hope the reason for the infection is found soon.

Great job, Maxxinista!!!

I am glad to hear your review went well. If there was a raise involved will it be going to some of that remaining Christmas decor? cheesy

Good evening,

We have been going since 5:40 this morning, when we got the phone call from the school saying there was an early dismissal due to the snow. We went out after dropping the boys off at school and rushed to get everything done. It was snowing the whole time, I am glad we have AWD now because the roads got sloppy.
I wrapped the last of the gifts I had for my wife, just waiting on one more now.
I went out and shoveled the driveway, we ended up getting 7 inches of snow.

I am exhausted.

Good night, everyone.

We're having a heatwave this week - today being 40°C (104°F). No walking in this heat! The plants are struggling because I like more tropical plants than the drought resistant ones recommended by our council. I have spread piping for my own watering system. The risers have sprays that ants love to build nests in so silly me sees one not working, unscrews it and automatically puts it into my mouth to suck out the blockage - needless to say the ants inside weren't happy and they bit my tongue. :(

I'm sitting here....with my little girl sleeping on my chest...watching the Polar Express...

a tear just rolled down my face...

I couldn't be any happier than I am...right now....

Beautiful moment, coach!!

Please pray for my mom, she has come down with one whopper of a cold, sore throat and just feeling run down. Also my son is getting it now too. I am working hard to make sure I do not get it!

You are all in my prayers, CS!!

((Hugs))
