Well plans have changed...I am at home baby sitting my 2 little ones plus a few of my nieces and nephews that have come into town. The women folks have gone shopping so I had to scrub my skiing plans! I should be here all day now..
enjoy it, before you know it they will all be grown up and you will have lots of time to do what ever you want.
Well I was wrong...it has started snowing again.. actually the temp is 35F and we are getting snow and sleet pellets right now...maybe another 3 inches to add to the snowpack the next day...but by Monday it clears up and we have temps around 35 in the day and 20's at night. Looking to Christmas it get back down in the teens and single digits at night but climbs back up to the 30's in the day...gosh today is perfect for the slopes!!

Happy Winter Solstice, everyone!
The shortest day of the year. First, I must say that Lovemas was great. I was not able to catch it live - I was busy seeing old friends - but I was thankfully able to watch on youtube. Darlene Love was beautiful and her voice, well it remains just as magical as ever.
As for today, I am heading to Green Bay to see the Packers vs. Steelers play at Lambeau Field tomorrow afternoon. The Packers are in desperate need of a victory to remain in control of their playoff lives. I'll be cheering loudly from the North endzone!
My brother is working today and my dad is picking me up in a mere 20 minutes. Then, we're off to grab Brad at work and cross the border into the US en route to Green Bay, Wisconsin. Judging by the forecast, we should miss the storm that is due to arrive in Green Bay overnight. Hope it continues to hold off until then.

Did my weekly bookkeeping, had my hair cut, spent quite a bit of time getting caught up with the posts here, went out for lunch with Mr., picked up a few things at the grocery store, put in a load of laundry … now I'm sitting down with you and waiting for today's mail to come. I feel like having a nap, but I hate to squander even an hour when Christmas is rushing here so fast! I'm pretty sure we'll look at some Christmas movies tonight, either DVD or 16mm. It's the best time of the year!

I got the living room are neat and tidy, took everyone else shopping, dropped off moms meds for her (she is feeling much better) made a batch of egg nog, still have not made my mice, fed the cat, picked up LittleCS and Pocket and sat around and relaxed.

LOL. I hear ya. My wife has been awesome throughout this whole thing. I'm getting there, I think. I've noticed that our communication has been a lot better because we have stopped assuming. It's been a blast.
We will find out. We plan on having one more.

That was CrAzY!!!! I've never seen or experienced anything like it....for two reasons....
1. My shopping is always done before now.
2. The time from Thanksgiving to Christmas was shorter, we had two weekends of bad weather, and this weekend is when everyone tried to get out and do it.
Whew!
But we are DONE! Tonight is wrapping, coffee, and family. Tomorrow is cooking!
About to eat, so I will see yall later!

I tried to log on here a couple of times today but I've been having problems with the website, not sure why.
Anyway, we had a nice time at the company Christmas party last night. We didn't get home until after 1:00 a.m. I had to wake up early to drive my daughter to work. She had a flat tire yesterday and she damaged something thats going to take a day or two to repair. My husband told me what it was but I kind of zoned out when he was describing it me, I don't remember what he said, lol.
I was going to run a couple of errands this evening but I am having a problem with my debit card. I tried to use it earlier at Rite Aid and then to pay for a pizza but the payments wouldn't go through. I'm on hold right now with my bank to see what's going on, there is an unusually long wait to speak with a customer service representative. I have been nervous since I heard about the security breach at Target, I am in there all the time!
I will try and catch up here sooner or later. I wish it wasn't so hectic but there is a lot to do, can't believe Christmas is only a few days away. I have been thinking about you all. I hope everyone is well. Enjoy your evening!

Years ago when we were having kids we had friends who were supper organized, they had day planners before anyone heard of them. They planned on having their first 2 years after they got married and the next 2 years after that.
Their son arrived right on schedule. Then right on schedule they were pregnant again 2 years later....with triplets.
We never let them live it down!! LOL
yes, it gets crazy. I am working Monday and Tuesday, I am sure it is going to be crazy busy, especially with turkeys on sale fro 73 cents a pound!
I just finished watching "let it snow" on hallmark and I did not really like the beginning but by the end it was a good movie and I will keep it on the dvr. My fav movies this season have been"fir craxy" " a very merry mix up" and "let it snow" and "annie claus is coming to town" I will keep all those and maybe watch the rest of the winter. I am counting down the minutes until I can go get my sister from the airport. The driving will be crazy with all the traffic and snow. Her plane comes in at 1145pm though so maybe the traffic will not be that bad...but who am I kidding it will be horrendous just 3 days before Christmas!!! I just got through eating and I guess I will watch hallmark the rest of the night!! Have a good evening everyone! we are so close to the big day!
our internet went off for about half and hour today, I think it may have been weather related.
Hope the car is an easy fix.
You most likely just melted the plastic on your card using it so much this season, LOL.
