I have never used Ebay. My BIL and Sister buy and sell things all the time on there. I'll have to looking on there more often.

I used to use Ebay all the time, but starting using Amazon this year more and really seem to like it. They both have been pretty successful for me. I bought I bet 3/4 of my Christmas gifts on Amazon this year.

Back to work tomorrow---but then comes New Year's Eve and New Year's Day to celebrate!
After that, I may need a little support ... packing away the decorations is a sad and lonely thing.

We're here for you MerryCarey!

Good luck, made! I always thought that jury duty would be fun - I have never been called, though.

I don't know about anyone else, but I don't call it fun!

I place the cat food out in front of the patio during the winter so I can keep tabs on if the cats need any more and who is eating. Today I saw chickadees, blue jays, a couple of birds I do not recognize and a huge opossum munching away at the leftovers. There is seed in the bird feeder but the birds prefer Cat Chow. I was wondering why the food was going down so fast. cheesy

I am starting to feel the cold - time to curl up and read or work on the afghan or scarf.

Be safe, warm and MERRY!!

I'm packing away today. Just a superstitious thing I need to do before new year.

Sitting in the cinema waiting for Frozen. Quiet so far although I'm expecting more kids in the next 20 minutes. Great position - almost centre bottom to top and left to right, can't get it perfect as it's all even rows and seats. Got my sweet and salty popcorn and bottle of water and even some little gingerbread men.... baby steps to the new year.

My Mom's water heater burst on Christmas Eve. Since she has a one story house(no basement...just a crawl space), so that means her whole dining room and part of the kitchen was swimming. So, the day after Christmas, my hubby was looking for apartment sized water heaters. He and my sister picked the thing up on Sunday (his only real day off), and he installed it. Lo and behold, something is blocked up now, and so he needs to crawl around under the house and find out where the blockage is.

Huzzah. :-?

I think hubby and I both need yoga pants right now. If you don't know what I mean, view this clip.

Well.... it's great that he knew how to replace that stuff and try and fix it. At least there's no repairman costs. :-)

LOL @ yoga pants

13 hrs you must be past exhausted! How do the school terms work where you are? In Australia the kids have 4 terms of 10 weeks each and in between they holiday so they don't go back until end January 2014

My daughter is in Pre-K (pre-kindergarten) and my son is in a structured daycare. We pay for them to go there, so that's why they are going, even around the holidays. My daughter has to 3 days a week, my son too, no matter if is the holidays, vacation or what. If we choose for them not to go, we still have to pay that week.

As far the school term, the kids were done the Thursday or Friday before Christmas I think and then I believe they have this whole week off yet, so I 2 weeks total. During the summer, they have usually almost all of June, July, and almost all of August off.

Since my wife went to her movie I decided to watch "Miracle On 34th Street" (1947), I could not go through the whole Christmas season without seeing this movie, it is probably my second favorite Christmas movie after "A Christmas Story."

YEA!!!

Yep - EA is in Pre-K and DS is in a structured daycare program, that they both go to a certain amount a days a week, no matter what, so they still go. They don't get off because of the holiday, even though I wish they did!

Me too. I think I need a 12 step program for eBay and Amazon. LOL I see something I like in store and the first thing I do is open my eBay app and Amazon store to see what I can save going that route. Case in point this phone.

I needed a replacement phone, but a year away from an upgrade. My other phone was shutting down continually. The warranty on the phone wanted me to pay a sizeable deductible and then send it in for repair. I'd already had it repaired once and it didn't fix it. I checked eBay for the phone I wanted as opposed to replacing the one I had and found one new in box from a reputable seller, waited out the bid time and then got it for less than the deductible. I've always had great savings with eBay. Equally with Amazon. Sometimes Amazon beats eBay buy-it-nows too.

I too do probably 75% of my Christmas shopping on Amazon and eBay. I stepped foot in 2 stores this year for gifts. And not a browsing, took hours thing. Knew what I needed and was in and out in less than 15 minutes. I spent more time shopping for lights and white chocolate than I did gifts. ROFL

Oh, I understand. It sounds like our preschool and daycare system. If we don't use it we lose it to somone on a waiting list.

No, fraid not. LOL Been called 5 times. Only had to show up once, but that was a pain. The case they assigned me too, during lunch break, the defendant was using a payphone at the side walk and I overheard him laughing that he was "going to get away with it." Told the DA when I got back in... yep you're excused. ROFL So I've never had to serve.

My poor mom - she'd never been called and then suddenly she was called up about 3 years ago. Ended up being assigned to a grand jury trial that lasted three weeks. Ugh!! They actually sequestered them in a hotel.

same temperature as here, very chilly.
Glad my daughter bought me that seat warmer for the van!

What a wonderful gift that was! My new car came with seat warmers and an automatic car starter. When I leave work, I have been using it. I love it!

Well, my Wifes folks left today. Trying to get back in the swing of things. All the Christmas is packed away except the outside lights. We'll pack those away on the 1st. I dread that part. I love Christmas lights. If I can figure out how to do it Ill post a pic of our lights.
