I didn't get a chance to post this yesterday when everyone was celebrating Elvis's birthday. Gloria Jean told us a personal story about Elvis Presley. She was working on a film at Paramount in 1961 at the same time Elvis was working on "Blue Hawaii." Gloria was having lunch with some other girls who were in the movie she was in, and Elvis came to their table and talked to Gloria. He said he wanted to do a film with her, because he thought their voices together would be dynamite. Meanwhile, the other girls at the table were just about going through the floor because Elvis was talking to Gloria! Gloria immediately told her agent about the conversation, but the agent never followed up on it---he should have had photos taken or talked up a film project with Elvis's people, but he just let it drop.
Michael Jackson was a fan of Gloria's, too. He once sent her a fan letter, hand-delivered by a courier, asking for an autographed photo.
I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy[/QUOTE]
That is such an awesome story , thanks for sharing that with us. She must have been so flattered to have none other than the King himself wanting to work with her. .....and then years later to be admired by the king of pop.
