Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

It has really warmed up down here. It's supposed to be in the 60's and raining today, then 70's and raining tomorrow. I have a lot of outdoor work to do, so I'd rather do it in the warm rain than the freezing cold, I guess...LOL.

It's already been more than two weeks since Christmas, so it's less than 50 weeks till it returns! Only about 33 weeks till the 'Bers start again!

Hope you get a good nap in this morning, Buddy!!!

No big plans. The girls will all be working. My middle one has super early shifts at Aldi on Saturday and Sunday. She's working 6:00 a.m. both days so we will be waking up extra early. I miss when they were younger and didn't work!
I still have a few gift cards to spend from Christmas, including one for Barnes and Noble. So I'm hoping to do a little bit of shopping. We also have some restaurant cards, maybe if I'm lucky I'll get my husband to stop working and we can have a long overdue date night!

Now the high for tomorrow will be near 70 degrees. I never thought I would be excited about that but I am! We finally have had cold weather this year and I have enjoyed it very much. This little break with warm weather will be nice. I still want it to get cold again after this week of warm weather and I still want some snow! I am not ready for winter to end just yet! I am not and will never be ready for summer! Summers are terrible here!

After the week we have had, I might even be happy to see 70 degrees!!!

We are currently at 28 degrees and will have a high of 40 today. We ar expecting a wintery mix this morning that will turn to all rain by this afternoon.
I have walked the dogs so far, straightened up, started laundry and threw together a big pot of vegetable soup in the slow cooker. I need to work on a menu plan and grocery list for next week and then head to the butcher to buy meat for next week. Our supermarkets still don't have a lot of meat on the shelves, I'm not sure whats going on. That foot of snow must have messed the stores deliveries up. I also need to go to the bank and Rite Aid. I'm hoping to have a quiet afternoon, we'll see what happens.

A lot of the stores around here are still trying to restock too. The trucks just couldn't get through earlier this week.

There's a whole flock of seagulls gliding around outside my office window, about 8 or 10 of them. They don't often come this far inland---they must be having a hard time finding enough to eat along the shoreline. We're more than an hour's drive from the ocean.

I feel like I'm getting a cold. Right before a busy Saturday. And it'll probably get busy at the office too. I'll be doing what I can to fight it off or at least minimize it, but I won't be able to rest much. My weapons here are a box of lemon & ginger herbal tea and a jar of honey.

Hope you don't get sick!!!!

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be a decent day here with a high of 38 degree's later today!! WooHoo!!! It doesn't look like we will hit the 50's this weekend how though. Oh well. I can handle the mid 40's. The school district my sister works for ended up canceling school this morning thankfully. It's sounding like the main roads are doing much better though. The secondary roads though are still some what of a mess and well, we won't even talk about the neighborhood roads. The rain and warm temps this weekend though should have them a lot better by monday. Not much on my agenda for today. Have a few things to do this morning and then this afternoon I'm going to try and kick back and watch the nascar practice from Daytona. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Tonight, she rolled over by herself. Once she figured out how to do it, she did it 50 times.

Mom said once they start moving they never stop until they turn 25.

Tomorrow I am going with the lake ladies to the Candle Cottage, then to the winery for lunch & wine. Soooo excited!!! Tomorrow night we are bowling with friends in a memorial scholarship tournament. Always a good time. (not a serious type bowling event...all for fun & a good cause!) That's about ti!!

My goodness i didnt get to make it here yesterday but man trying to catch up on the post is a task a good one at that lots of Christmas chatter. hope everyone has a great Christmas. already reserved my vacation fr thanksgiving week lol. plan this year to take my nieces and nephew to some Christmas fun that week. lol my wife asked what we had plans for Valentines and I'm like already ?????? we just got done with Christmas and then i realize February isn't to far away and one month close to the Christmas season when it begins. Hope all has a great weekend!!!!!

Thanks! Everything is just fine at home! Electric came back on just as I was walking out the door for work. The transformer fire was a couple miles down the road & they had it under control quick! THANK YOU volunteer fire fighters!!!

I love Barnes & Noble, enjoy some book shopping! I love the coffee shops in there, too. So good!!

Hope you and your hubby can have a date night!

We are going to relax, spend some time outside, and go to a new sports lounge in town for a bite to eat, happy hour, and some "winter Olympics". That's our code for dome hockey, basketball, air hockey, etc. We are still big kids!
