Still working on the house. The concrete for the foundation has cured, and the patio room foundation will be poured on Friday. The kitchen will be 30' by 32', so I should be able to move around a lot better than I do now, LOL! I am so jealous of everyone's snow, but that's what I say every year. I just wish we would get one good snow storm every year so I could make snowcream and play in the snow. I will be checking in when I can. TTFN

Happy Pines day everyone. I have vent if I may...

Yesterday ended bad, carried over to today, and I'm in a bad mood. We all have these days though. Carl and my favorite friends can cheer me up though!

Hope everyone's day is good. I have three day weekend coming up at least!

I just watched Arthur Christmas....and the baby wasn't even with me.

That movie has really grown on me.

I thought I had a giant spider in my pool with me but after trying to keep the water still it turns out it's a furry piece of bark. WHEW!!!

Oh yeah! I shop but very frugal about it. Coupons, Groupons and things that are on sale and clearance. I love getting good deals!

It's also the only way I buy the Bath and Body Works candles too. I wait until they are on sale 2 for 22 bucks then have that coupon for 10 bucks off any purchase over 30 bucks. I end up buying 4 candles for around 35 bucks when they normally cost about 20 bucks a piece! I am wanting some of their new fragrances they have out now really bad but must wait! They will go on sale soon and I will get a coupon in my email for 10 bucks off!

I agree. I very rarely buy my luxuries full price. Just requires patience.

Christmasstar, did you get a lot of snow with that storm that blew through last night? It showed a lot of blue on the radar for my area, but all we ended up getting was a very light dusting.

Good morning!
I just got in a little while ago from an early morning doctor appointment. Just a yearly routine appointment, hopefully all is well. I will know in a few days.
My youngest got her car back last night and everything is taken care of, the taillight is fixed and the inspection and oil change are done. She was very happy to drive herself in this morning. I dropped her off at school yesterday and she complained the whole way there about how embarrassing it was for me to be driving her in, lol. Such a drama queen! Anyway, my oldests car is also due for an oil change and the it needs to be inspected by the end of the month. She is off from work today so I think we will bring the car in and get it over with. I want to get it over with before she heads back to school, the new semester will begin next week.
Not too much else going on for me, just a couple of errands and chores to do.

Good afternoon everyone!

It's been ages since I my last visit. My computer at home (I mean in Lithuania) operates incredibly slowly (it needs to be fixed) and it takes me ages to use Internet or post in forums and, well, I am not patient that much to wait for half an hour to get my browser opened and my post posted. ^^ Anyway, I am now back in Scotland and back to my laptop. ^^

Home was nice. I managed to see some of my friends, my cousins and spend some time with family. :] I have started new semester at the uni today so I am back on track!

I hope that everyone is well and doing fine. I hope that this year will be much better and more successful than previous year for everyone of you.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I went to the meeting at the county commissioner's hall last night, and it was not too bad. I thought it would be a fight over who controls the fire department, since that's been the hot topic lately. Instead, we discussed ways to attract more industry to the area, in an effort to get more young folks interested in staying in our county. Not too bad!

Elizabeth found out that she and her best friend were among the 12 dancers selected for participation in the Spring production of The Music Man! There were dozens of dancers trying out, and we were trying to make sure she didn't get her hopes too high. It turns out, we should have had more faith in her abilities. She is so happy, and I'm so proud!

It is my least favorite day of the week, I really don't want to go in to work.
I think I am starting to come down with something, I feel that telltale sign of a scratchy throat, pressure in my sinuses. This is always fun while working in the cold.

No, don't get sick! I felt that way last week and hit it with my favorite remedy---hot tea with lemon and honey. That scared it off before it took hold, I think, because I felt fine later in the day, except for feeling really tired. I went to bed early and woke up fine. I hope you can chase yours off too.
