Christmas Countdown - 2014

Leaves are made with gum paste, wired to give it shape and the wires are covered with florist tape. Painted with edible dusting powder and then coated with edible varnish.

They are beautiful!

I visit the local Goodwill store almost weekly, I have found so many Christmas treasures there.

I found some great buys today but tapatalk is requesting I sign in to post pictures, then not accepting my sign in.... something weird going on. I'll try another way later.

I found this cute little owl ornament for $3 reduced from $9. I hope this image attachment works

I picked up all of this for $2.60. They were 20cents each!!!!

And my favorite that I ummed and ahhhed and had to talk myself into is this. I love wireworks and birds and trees. $13 reduced from $42. When I got home I realised something is missing off the top. I'll pop back into the store to see if they have found it.
I hope the stores run out soon because my pocket won't stand for it!

We had a good time, but for some reason, I was sleepy after one wine! When we got home we watched one show and were in bed before 8:30! Then I woke up right after 11 p.m.!

I believe that too, Festive. We lost our cat this summer. We had had her since 1997 and were devastated. Have you seen All Dogs Go to Heaven?

I was actually thinking about that movie when I posted! I enjoyed the Babe movies, there are a couple scenes that made me cry to

I completely agree with you to a certain extent- the movie "Hachi- A Dog's Tale" is a true story. I don't think it's meant to be a sad movie, even though it can be at times. The movie is truly beautiful, showing the bond of love that is shared. How fiercely loyal, true, loving, and unconditional animals are That wonderful message is what I took from it.

It's just like the movie Marley & Me. The movie and the book tore me apart, but it was good and delivered such a wonderful message. It was also based on a true story. How could you not love Marley? :-D
