15 inches is tough, but three years ago we got over 30 inches in one storm, here are some pictures of that storm:

I am over 6 feet tall, that is the snowbank after I was done shovelling, it was as tall as me!

Whoa@!@

I took this picture when I was shoveling earlier. When my daughter was in preschool she brought this teeny tiny tree home in a coffee can. We planted it in the front yard ages ago and this is what it looks like now. It's grown quite a bit!

That is beautiful!! How fantastic that it is still flourishing! Hope you are coping through the cold and the snow. How is Maggie ? The cold must make her cough worse I imagine? Hope you had a good night's rest, have a great day today HMG.

Home and safe---I left the office around 4 p.m. and got home just as it was beginning to snow, and it was sticking to everything right away. Now I will worry until Mr. gets home. Thanks for all your good wishes for my safety!

Glad you and Mister made it home safely. Fingers crossed that you can work from home if it's very bad out there. It is great that you have the option.

Well my wife was home sick today and I left the office early to pick my daughter up and take her to the doc. They both have the same thing. My wife is on the mend though so by week's end all should be back to normal.

Hope you all are doing great!

Sending prayers and get well wishes for both your wife and daughter. Hope the rest of you don't come down with it.

Good evening, MMC!!

It has been a busy day off! I much prefer the relaxing ones!
Between doctor appointments, lab work, grocery shopping, and laundry, I am beat!

Looking forward to sleeping in & chilling out tomorrow!

Speaking of chilling out, it is brutally cold out there. The winds have picked up, and the snow has begun. I don't think we are supposed to get more than a couple inches overnight, but we are supposed to get snow every day for the rest of the week.

I think a movie and a fire are in order!

Hope you're all staying safe, cozy, and warm tonight. Hope those who are sick start feeling better soon~

Take care, friends!

That was indeed a very busy day. I hope tomorrow brings a less hectic day for you. Have good day today catching up on some rest. Keeping you in prayer and thoughts regarding your recent appointments.

xx

Good evening, MMC!

The cold is definitely here - brrrr! Every time I check the forecast it says the cold will be around even longer - I'm done checking!!! Not much going on here. I baked raspberry, chocolate chip muffins and gingerbread cookies today, partly to warm up the kitchen. It didn't take long to finish my chores so the rest of the evening I can work on some craft projects and possibly finish the book I am currently reading.

Be warm and safe! MERRY dreams!

What a lovely way to spend an evening, baking, reading and crafting!

Good evening,

I am still feeling lousy, at this point I don't know if I will be going to work again tomorrow. I think it is time to call the doctor, figure out what is going on. The ignition switch on the old car is going, it just won't start in the cold. I finally did the research on the car and it has something to do with GM not using a cold rated grease on the ignition switch. It is a big problem on the 2003-04 models but was never recalled because it isn't a safety issue. I think being stuck in car that won't start in the cold is a safety issue. Thank goodness for YouTube, I should be able to fix it myself after watching some videos on it.
I probably should head to bed soon, I have got to beat this bug.

I may pop in again, before I actually going to sleep, but if I don't...

Good night, everyone.

It sounds like you are doing the right thing booking in at the Doctor's. I know we all hate going to the doctor but hopefully it will help the way you are feeling. Good luck with the car. My husband has used You tube videos to fix our car in the past and it's saved us a bundle. He enjoys the challenge mostly, sounds like you do to! Feel better soon Xmas!

My niece in Seattle received "The Shining Star" award tonight at the school board meeting. They pick one kid per school to get it.

That is remarkable achievement for your niece! Congrats to her and your family , you all must be so very proud!

Merry Morning! Happy Pine's Day!

It seems a lot of you are having heavy snowfall. Still no snow here. It has actually been a very mild winter so far.

Have a wonderful day everyone whatever you get up to. I have a few things I need to get through but I'll see you all later!

Good Morning, Mid-Week Friends and 'Pines Patrons!

Yep.
It is once again time to pay a visit to that crazy camel (if we dare) to see what's up as January begins to wind down.

The count:
Days to the Season: 295
Days to Christmas Day: 337

Milestone #2, the 1/4 Season Milestone, is just three weeks from today!
Wowzers! Can we really be so close to a quarter of the way back to our coveted and adored Christmas Season?
The count chart says yes!

Cold. Rain. Snow. Wind. Nasty.
That was our weather for last night.
At least today will see sunny skies, albeit with low temps.
We have started mid week at a cold 24 degrees here in the capital city with a light dusting of snow on the ground.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everyone!
(And yes Carl, a Happy Hump Day too.)

See you at the 'Pines!

Congrats to her!! The school obviously has good taste! :-D

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

What a hectic week it's been, and it ain't over yet! I didn't even get a chance to post at all yesterday.

I can't stay long, but I wanted to say "hey!" and let you know I'm still here. The crazy doctor hasn't called with Nancy's results yet, and she is going bonkers with anticipation. Hopefully today...

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Good morning, all! Hope you all have a great day. I am off today, so I am going to take a nap and will check back later!

Praying that the wait isn't to long and the results are what you all want it to be.

I hope I'm talking about the same storm here, it was the day after Christmas. We got two feet of snow dumped on Long Island.
Those are great pictures. Three feet is crazy!

Congratulations to your Shining Star Niece! I'm sure she takes after her uncle!

Beautiful tree, it looks like it would be a perfect Christmas tree.

Thanks! We have been covering it in lights at Christmas time for the past couple of years and it looks so pretty!
