Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good Morning MMC!!!!! Well the temp didn't fall as fast as they said they would. We are still holding at 3 degree's instead of the -10 they were predicting by this time. I think the fact that we made it all the way up to 44 last night instead of the 36 they were predicting helped out in that department. The wind chill is -20 though so it's still frigid out there. Not to much on my agenda for today. I have a lot of dishes to do and then I have to figure out something for dinner. I'm hoping the mail lady will bring the Josh Groban Noel cd that I ordered so I can listen to it while doing the dishes. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

Fingers crossed the temps don't dip. I hope your post lady delivers your CD to you so you can enjoy. I am currently making dinner, hope you figure out something tasty to make ! We are having English sausages, mash, green beans and gravy....you can always just come to ours for dinner LOL!

had to go out and pick up something, this was the clear section of the road. Further up it was one lane with a snow plow busy clearing out the blocked lane . Staying home the rest of the day.

That looks like here too. They have Road graters and front loaders out along with the plows here trying to keep the roads open and cleaning up from the mess we had on Saturday.

Good morning, everyone! Had trouble getting on the site for a little while, as it must have been down, but I'm back!

EA was up most of the night - she has the stomach bug again. We just got over this with DS a week ago - I guess this is the way it goes! She was supposed to have school today, but obviously can't go. We will send her another day this week. Hopefully it will just be a 24-hour thing!

I will be around - DH is working on the basement and DS was scheduled to go to daycare, as one of this days for the week, so I will just be lounging around with EA and making sure she is feeling okay.

my stomach has not felt good for two days now. Someone suggested thin slicing tablespoon worth of fresh ginger and putting it in a small bottle or can of ginger ale. Let it sit for about 1/2 hour then strain and drink. It works great, mine is settling good now.

Glad it is helping and you're feeling better. Ginger ale is something I always suggest to my patients, that or lemon lime soda, especially when they have nothing ordered for nausea. It truly does seem to help.

Oh they are going to dip. Hopefully they just don't get down all the way to -19 tomorrow like they thought they would.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

My brother and I spent yesterday afternoon working on his new house. he bought the house and property adjacent to our mom's house, and he'll be moving in soon. I'm looking forward to having him near mom, since she lives out in the sticks. I don't like her being alone way out there, and now she won't be.

It's gonna snow here tomorrow night, they are saying maybe a few inches! Elizabeth is so excited!

wonderful that he can live so close to mom, I would not like it if my mom lived out of town either.
Enjoy your snow, we have several feet of it here and a mountain growing in the corner of the parking lot. I hope they get a truck in here soon and get rid of some of it. You want it?

Glad to made it home safely, Star. It seems as if most of Ontario is dealing with this storm. The winds are absolutely crazy here in Ottawa, too! I was just outside for a bit and could barely walk against the pounding wind!
