Christmas Countdown - 2014

My daughter went to the doctor today for a sore throat. She is in so much pain right now that she is in tears. She started the antibiotic. She's taking Motrin, gargling with warm salt water and sipping on tea. I don't know what else she can do. I feel so bad. She has always been prone to sore throats and strep. She's been to an ENT and they never recommended taking her tonsils out but I think I'm going to bring her back for another opinion.
The temperatures have dropped and we are expecting more snow tonight. I would be very happy if we get enough snow to cancel classes. Then my daughter could sleep in and only worry about going to work later in the day.
Anyway, I hope everyone is well and had a good day.

I just took Har around the block & there is a group of guys grilling in their shorts & tank tops...

Some people are going to be sick tomorrow! Yikes :/

Hope your daughter is feeling better soon. Hope you can get to figure out what is wrong with why she is having sore throats - she may be having them. I had my tonsils out when I was 11 and still get them often. The older the person gets, the much harder the surgery is for the person tonsillectomy , so if they're not recommending one, then I wouldn't push the issue, but I know as mom, you always want to make sure you have the best care for you children. If you think there is an issue, get a second opinion.

Thanks, we did! It was cold, but I love walking near the woods on a winter's night.
