Boy, I had a tough night. Went to bed and was almost asleep when my son comes home with some friends. They are all pretty happy (if you get my drift) and my room is right next to the foyer where they talked VERY loud. They needed a lift, so, seeing as I hadn't alcohol in my system, mummy darling had to drive the wanderers... but not until my son had a refreshing shower. My daughter is going to be ropable when she wakes because the friends gathered near her bredroom to talk and she has an early shift!! Well, 1/2 hour after dropping them off and trying to go through my sleep routine again (I'm slightly insomniac) there is a bang on the door and my son is home again feeling unwell... drinking on an empty stomach in this heat will do that to you. After getting him settled in bed with a bucket I took a sleeping tablet and now I have woken sluggish and hot... not a good start to grocery day! Some sweet tea has helped a little to make the fortnightly menu but now I need to go through the cupboards to make the grocery list... bummer! Then I have to go out in this heat with the roiling masses!! Not looking forward to it!!

I'm sorry that you had a rough night, hope the day is going much better for you. Your kids are lucky to have a Mom like you, friend.

It's raining cats & dogs here, too. My nephew's birthday party is today, and he wanted me to bring the train. My dad made this train that you pull behind a golf cart or 4-wheeler, and little kids love it:

Happy is playing his favorite game...

When we change the sheets and he keeps jumping on the bed so we can't finish. This went on five times! Crazy dog! :)

They decided to try the train after all, so I aired-up all the tires and took it to the party. It's misting rain and 50° and those kids didn't care at all LOL!

My brother-in-law pulled the kids around, so took the opportunity to go to my brother's shop and work on the Camaro some more. It might take another year, but I am learning a lot.

They are talking about some ice mixing in here now on tuesday and that may cut us down to 6 to 10 inches of snow. I'd prefer all snow instead of dealing with the ice.

I hope you get all snow and not a lot of it! Been snowing all day here ~ over 4 inches so far and there is another huge band still on the way. Be safe, made!

I didn't get to read all the posts, but I did read some!

Ballcoach - what a scary experience yesterday! I hope & pray the little bambina is fine n dandy today!

HMG - I love Diners Drive Ins & Dives!! We have been to a couple of them. My sister/bil have been too many. So fun!!!

Made - I'm feeling the same way about our propane bill right now as you are about your electric bill! UGH!!!

We stayed in tonight. I browned the sausage & shredded hot pepper cheese for sausage bread for Moms birthday brunch on Sunday. I also made the creamy avocado dip for the super bowl. Last night I made the bacon/club cracker snacks. YUM! Tomorrow I'll finish the sausage bread (minus baking it) & I'll get the cinnamon rolls made. I'll just have to bake them Sunday morning. Those are really the only plans until Sunday. Jims Dad comes home from rehab tomorrow, so that's good news! They are calling for snow overnight so Jim might have to help him get in the house! Mom had her appt with the cardiologist today & her EKG was normal...more good news! Hopefully it stays that way!!! :)

Ok..I'm off to read more posts (I hope!)

So, we've been to the vet and have got MORE shampoo for Cracker. He hates it but stands there stoically with those "I don't know why you're doing this to me but I'll still love you anyway" eyes!!!

We have some friends who, well let's just say, aren't functioning as well as normal. She's broken her leg and he's just had his whole knee replaced and they've got a 3 year old!!! So, this past month we've been - or rather, my other half has been - taking them to various appointments, picking the 3 year old up from school, getting shopping (he actually works for them so just a variation in duties) I'm now designated babysitter and taker to Sunday Schooler, which is feeling, I have to say, a bit weird!!!! I can, however, hear my mother in my head saying "See, I knew I'd get you back to church one way or another"!!!!!! Sandy has to go down this afternoon - I think he's sorting out their fireplace - and then I got a call to go with him.......they need some vacuuming done!!!!!!!! I seriously don't know why they think I've got the domestic streak; it's all him!!!!!!!!!!

So, it's all about topping up on coffee and going vacuuming........that's a sentence I never thought I'd write............later, Christmas people!!!!!!
