Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good morning all! Finally made it back after another crazy week. There was something every night this week except for Tuesday. So this morning, I'm soaking up some coffee and hanging out with the baby while Dr. Wifey takes a class on cpr.

Going to do some reading here, but in case I miss something....I hope everyone is doing great.

Made, later today I'm going to cooking something for tomorrow. Potato soup sounds real good....so does steak....hmmm....decisions, decisions....

Regardless, here is the first time I say this for this year...

Good evening,

Busy day at work, then ran errands when I got home. We booked LC's birthday party at the bowling alley for next month, out of the blue he just wanted a bowling party. So it is his year for a big birthday party that is what he will get. I love bowling, haven't done it in years though.

Is it candlepins or regular tenpin bowling out your way?

We used to have a candlepin lane near us, but they sold out and closed. (A real shame, because at Christmastime they had displays of animated figures.) Now it's an oriental rug showroom. :-? We used to enjoy going there now and then for three or four strings of bowling.

I grew up in Maryland, where we had duckpin bowling. We were back in Maryland last year for a memorial service, and two of the lanes where my family used to bowl were closed. Should I blame it on video games? I remember how much I used to enjoy going out to bowl on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Yes, after another work week has passed, our island oasis of relaxation has arrived to allow us to re-charge the batteries and do it all again come Monday.

But speaking of charging, this will really give you a jolt:
Days to the Season: 264
Days to Christmas Day: 306

Now UNDER a week away from Milestone #3, the 300-day Christmas Day point, to be succeeded immediately by a double-200's count.
(Wow!)

Warm yesterday but the feared violent weather came to pass and we were under a severe thunderstorm warning and a tornado watch during the late morning.
Trees down in Greensboro and Chapel hill just to our west. OK at our place save for a few branches and pine cones down.
We have begun the weekend here at 38 degrees.

Our friends son is wrestling in a nearby town today, so we may go watch, and then go out with them for a bit afterwards =] Just playing it by ear, because we're not sure when the matches will be over.

It is going to be sunny & 15 degrees for the high, hopefully the winds will stay away.

Good Morning all! The weather here in KY has been fairly good last couple of days. Supposed to go up near 60 today with sunshine but return to cold for the upcoming week. Started thinking about making gifts for this Christmas. As long as it takes me, I should get started. Have a great weekend everybody! )

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to be another beautiful day here with a high of 50 degree's. Then the snow and cold air arrive again tonight. I am getting ready to head out to my sister's house to help her make a couple hundred cookies for a girl scout event tomorrow. Then I have some shopping to do.
