Good morning,
I am just sitting here catching up on MMC, and watching the Tradecentre show on the NHL Network. I have a little more than an hour before I have to head into the "funhouse." I am off at 8pm, a little earlier than usual. I have to talk with one of my bosses about a major issue going on, and I am very anxious to talk to her about it, I hate talking to them one on one.
I am just going to rest up a little more, I will talk to to you all tonight.
Enjoy your Wednesday.
Goodluck later, I hope it goes well.
Good Wednesday (Pinesday!) morning, my Christmas friends!
Well, the meeting with the county commissioners and the mayors of the others cities went about as well as I expected it to go...meaning not too good. The county has a plan to create a new fire department that is run by a committee made up of all four mayors and the county commission chairman. It sounds good to us, but the current fire department is run by the largest city, and they're unwilling to give up the authority. I believe they are planning to operate the old fire department independently from the county's new department. This will force we smaller towns to decide which department to allow to use our firehouses and trucks.
Hard feelings galore. If you guys every consider politics, make sure you don't have any friends already in.
Other than that, it's wet, cold & windy, and I don't feel a 100%.
Heard enough complaining? LOL Sorry, I'm just throwing myself a little pity-party. I'll be over it before lunch.
I hope y'all have a great day!
I hope you feel better very soon. Don't worry pity parties are necessary every now and then.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a nice day here with a high in the upper 30's!!! Break out the sun tan lotion!!!!! More snow flurries tonight though. Not a whole lot going on here today. Just need to finish up some laundry and do my normal daily chores. I may do some baking too. Blueberry muffins sound really good. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...ummm if you have any spare muffins going.........

Good morning!
It's going to be partly sunny today and not as cold, we will have a high of 35 degrees today.
I am heading out soon to run a couple of errands. Then back home to get my chores done. I'm also going to try and get a head start on dinner. I have to fry meatballs and get a pot of sauce started. I think I'm going to throw together a tray of baked ziti, that's quick and easy. Maggie has a doctor appointment this afternoon, she is still coughing. We are both exhausted because she's been up at night, and I've been up with her. I'll see what the doctor has to say and what the next step is.
I'll be in popping in and out today. I hope everyone has a great day!!!
Best of luck at Maggie's appointment later. I hope they can help. I'll be looking out for your update on her situation. Thoughts and prayers with you.
Happy Pines day gang. I know some of you are tired of winter but I still love it. It has been a great winter here in the mountains. Wonderful time of the year; no snakes, no bugs, no grass to cut, no weed eating and plenty of snowcream for dessert. Spring is coming though, we have started high school baseball. It has been kinda neat watching baseball with snow flurries in the air.
I'm still struggling to get into the Christmas countdown. Our son is a high school senior so I want time to pass very slowly. August 15 is move in day at Gardner Webb University. That will be a hard day and I'm not looking forward to it. Hate the thought of him moving out. The good news is he was awarded the President's scholarship so all his tuition is covered.
Have a blessed day everyone.
Your winter sounds so beautiful, it really does. I understand how you feel about your son's upcoming move. It is a difficult thing for a parent to go through. CONGRATULATIONS on your son's scholarship!!! You must be so very proud!!
Good Morning, MMC!!
Have a blessed & beautiful day!!
I plan to do a lot of relaxing, reading, watching tv, and spending time with you guys here. So happy for a day off
