Christmas Countdown - 2014

Spring has officially returned to our town! The Dairy Queen is open!

All winter the sign in front has said CLOSED FOR THE SEASON. But this morning it says DQ IS OPEN / SPRING IS HERE! No matter how cold it is this weekend, we'll probably be there for an inaugural dish or cone of soft-serve.

Time to add the Hawaiian music back into the playlists.

Our local ice cream place opened March 1st. I haven't been there yet but I hope they brought in some space heaters for the employee's because the building doesn't have heat!!

Happy Friday everyone! I'm back at work but still feeling kind of weak. Good news is I'm getting better and today is Friday. Hope it's a great weekend for all of you!

Italian vegetable OR Cabbage with smoked sausage soup (she can't decide) :grin:

I guess there are only 6 soups - not sure why I was thinking 7. LOL! It's going to be a party!

Ah!
What a nice day after several miserable ones in a row.
Yesterday was warm (near 70) sunny, dry and overall beautiful!
(What a nice begining to Spring!)
Right now, we stand at a chilly 33 degrees here in the capital city but should warm up shortly.

Merry Friday! Another week over! It is dry this morning so my youngest and I went to the shops to pick up a few things and then took the long way home so we could look for signs of spring. I just finished some house chores and now I am having a cup of tea before doing some work while my little one is asleep.

We have a pretty quiet weekend planned indoors. I will be working on Sunday so I am looking forward to tomorrow when we can all be home together at the same time!!

Good morning!
It's going to be partly sunny today with temperatures in the upper 40's. The mild weather will continue through the weekend and then the temperatures will drop again by Monday. We may even get some more snow next week.
I'm feeling kind of tired again today, thankfully I don't have too much planned. I will be working on some chores around the house. I also need to make a grocery list and go to the butcher and then pick up a prescription at Rite Aid. And since it's going to be nice out today, I may try to take the dogs for a walk and see how Maggie does.

Very slow day at work, I hope tomorrow it's a bit busier because today seemed to take forever.
LC had a great birthday, he was so excited all day. We gave him a nutcracker that we picked up back in December. He loved it, but his main gift he will be getting on Saturday at his birthday party.
I actually get this weekend off!!!! Wooooohooooo!!!!

Has anyone heard from Seawaters or Virginia lately? It has been awhile since they have been on, I hope they are doing well.

Hey all, just getting in again from working another double...Got my paycheck stub today, had 46 hours of overtime on my check (boy, uncle Sam just loves me....)! Not much going on with me, just work, work, work and I was also told tonight at work, to expect it to stay this busy, all the way thru the middle of April and possibly into May.

Lisa and Victoria is taking a bus tomorrow morning and they going to New York City (Times Square), to do some shopping; it's their first time there. I have to work and cannot go, that bothers me (them going by themselves) and I'll end up worrying about them all day... I guess I know where my overtime money is going, LOL...

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a beautiful day here with a high of 64 today!!! I can't wait to get out there and enjoy it!! Mom has to go in and get her blood checked here around lunch time and then I have to go to my sister's house for a bit to drop off some stuff we picked up for her. Then I will probably take mom to the store to walk some more. Way to many potholes in the street's in our complex to have her walk here. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
