Good morning, everyone! DH, my parents, and I are headed to Lancaster, Pa to Sight and Sound to see the Moses. I am very excited, as this is my very first time to go there. My parents have been there several times before.

My sister and boyfriend are watching the kids and doing thoughts of fun with them today.

I will be back later this evening. Hope you all have a great day! God Bless and keep smiling!

I hope you all have fun!

Good afternoon, MMC!

What a day it has been already. Several times I had to go outside and yell at three hawks that had been circling over the cats. The cats were oblivious of the danger ~ they feel very safe here which is good, but in this case very bad. I want them to be alert, too! Everything is fine now.

The good news is that a skein of geese flew north and I found some new shoots to the snowdrops that come up every year. Definite signs of spring!

Talk to you late tomorrow!

Be safe and MERRY!!!!

Hawks terrify me around my 2 little 5 lb. dogs. I live in the city but you will see hawks occasionally. I think they are beautiful birds and I love all animals but gotta keep my dogs safe too! I am glad the kitties are safe now!

Good Afternoon, MMC!!!!!! It's been raining like crazy today!!! It turned to snow for awhile but thankfully it didn't stick here like it did north of Indy. Mom's blood is still being stubborn. She only went from 1.2 to 1.3. So they increased her dose of blood thinner every other day and left her on the same dose the remaining days. She is on a pretty high dose already and they don't want to risk her shooting up all at once. We go back Tuesday morning to have it checked again. The rest of today is going to be spent trying to get some stuff done around here. With all of the running that I have done this week, the apartment is looking kinda ragged. I have to babysit my niece's tomorrow though. So I may just do a quick clean since they will just mess it all up again. Well I'm off to get something done. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

I hope mom's medicine gets straightened out real soon! Praying for her!

Hello all. Crazy week! Not a great one, but that's life.

Happy jumped on the counter yesterday and got the box of school fundraiser chocolate bars. He tore through the box and ate ten bars! He didn't get sick! The other dogs got a little and did get sick...we had to replace the comforter on our bed, along with some pillow cases and such. They are okay and the vet wasn't too concerned. It was quite the night.

We are off to the zoo. Hope everyone is doing great. Have a great Saturday!

I am SO GLAD that Happy is okay! I was worried about him!

That's cute!
(And I think it's great that she can see vintage films with both grandmas!)

I have you to thank for keeping us up to date on vintage films too!!! =)

My grandkids will learn about the actors of way back then! My dad kept me educated about them so I have to pass it down to them.

Today has been the perfect Spring Day! Wayne and I went out to the Arboretum and walked around for a couple of hours. Afterward we went to the lake, had light lunch and rode our bikes. We came home and grilled lots of veggies and hot links. We took the dogs outside to play for awhile. Now we are just chillin and watching a movie, Apollo 13.

The weather has been perfect - 75 degrees! I better enjoy it while I can, summer rolls around it will be a furnace outside!

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your Saturday!

I was just talking to my friend Reggie, and she said that a hawk tried to grab her dog Chloe yesterday :/ Luckily, they were right there, and she is ok.

Yay!! Spring is close, weather twin

Have a merry evening!

This will sound corny … but vintage films are such an important part of American heritage. Mr. works with a guy who never heard of Jimmy Cagney, and lots of people never heard of Laurel & Hardy. That's incredible to me.

As a kid, I remember poring over the TV Guide every week looking for L&H and other favorites. I loved the local UHF stations that ran lots of "oldies"---Abbott & Costello, the Marx Brothers, Blondie and Dagwood (remember "BLON-DEEEE!!" and Daisy and her puppies?), Our Gang, the East Side Kids, the Bowery Boys, even Joe E. Brown. By the time I was 12 I was reading books about them all. I still have those books. I remember reading about comedy teams that I thought I'd never see, like Wheeler & Woolsey, because our local stations didn't run their films. Now we own them on DVD! It's wonderful how digital video has made digital restoration of rarities possible, and merchants like Warner Archive make them available to us vintage film geeks. A couple decades ago we never dreamed of owning videos of rare old Vitaphone shorts, but today we can. I remember when, if you wanted videos of Buster Keaton, you had to settle for horrible-looking copies on VHS. Now I can watch the best available prints digitally restored on Blu-ray. It's like owning the candy store!!

(Sorry for the soliliquy! It's part of what makes me tick.)

Good Morning, Buddy!!! Hope you are having a great day at work!!!!!!

xx

It was busy!!

I had a lot of people come up & say a lot of nice things to me, that I would be hard to replace, and that my leadership & friendship would be missed. I thought that was very nice.

So glad to be home & have the rest if the weekend to look forward to

Hope you're having a great day!!

I love hearing about it! You really did get educated on them at an early age. That is great!

I loved The 3 Stooges and still do! Does that count? I think of my dad anytime I get a chance to watch them. I also loved watching the Little Rascals, Abbot and Costello, Laurel and Hardy and many more! I might have mentioned this before but I did meet Spanky McFarland. He lived nearby! It was an honor to meet him!

Wayne and I finished the movie then went back outside to play with the dogs again. After an all day adventure we are settled in watching TV! It's been a wonderful day!!!

Good evening, MMC!!

Have you ever wondered why some of us love vintage film so much? I've often wondered why some of us are wired that way or what makes some of us just fall in live with vintage film when we see it. You once commented to me that when vintage film lovers meet it's like meeting someone who speaks the same language. I think you're right! I love watching and talking about classic movies and live reading about them too!

With me it started with monster movies. I would check out books from the library about old universal monster films when I was about five and look at the pictures and ask people to help me read them. :)

Good Evening, Buddy!!! Hope you and Harlowe are having fun!!!!!

Thanks, buddy!

We are =]

Just chilling & talking to Megan, our neighbor.
