I have 3 cats in the house this weekend as LittleCS brought Pocket home for the weekend. Abby a is not impressed and Penny is tearing around the house jumping and playing with anything she can find. (she sounds like a little horse when she runs around) Pocked hisses at them when they get to close. By the end of the weekend they will all be getting along again.

LittleCS and I are preparing food for the family potluck tonight. Shepherds pie and strawberry trifle. (in different dishes)

We have to leave by 1;30 as this is in St Thomas, 1 1/2 hours from here.

The sun is out so it will be a nice drive there. Looking forward to seeing the family again.

I hope the cats are getting along well, sounds like a typical day in my house!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a nice day here with a high in the upper 60's and lots of sunshine. I've already been out running some errands and now I'm home for a quick break before heading out for more. It's crazy out there. You would think that tomorrow was a holiday or something. Oh wait.... Well I better get back to it. I need to get all of these errands done so I can get cooking. Then again, maybe I'll do my cooking before heading back out. Decisions, decisions. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

HMG- Good luck at the grocery store!!!! It was crazy here this morning and I'm sure it will just get worse as the day goes on. Praying for Maggie.

Happy Birthday to Ella!

I got grocery shopping done today to free up some fun time with Wayne tomorrow. I want to get the lawn mowed so he don't have to mess with it this weekend but having some issues with it! I don't know what is wrong with it so it looks like Wayne will have to get it going and mow over the weekend. Blah!

I also went by Lowes and they had lots of flowers marked down to a buck so I picked up a few. A friend of mine is a beekeeper and encouraging people to plant lots of flowers so the bees can thrive! I will do my part, even if it's just a little bit!

I see honey bees out here so supposedly a hive is within a quarter mile. I'm allergic to them and hornets so I don't have a lot of flowers, but there are hundreds of honeysuckle bushes on the property ~ they adore them.

We're supposed to get up to 5" this weekend!

That's a lot of rain! I will keep you in my prayers, Brad!

Whew!!! Left my house at 10am and I'm just now getting back home. My niece got some good stuff for her birthday but she was tired after a long day at school so she was a bit grumpy tonight. Hopefully she will be better for the kid party tomorrow morning. Mom's blood level was still in the good range but just at the very edge of it on the high side. So I'm kinda shocked they didn't cut back her meds some. I guess we will see how high it is when she goes back in 2 weeks. I hope everyone has had a great day!!!!

I'm glad your mom's blood level was in the range it was supposed to be. I will keep her in my prayers!

Here is the birthday girl and the small cake we had tonight. I really think we should have had Star make her one instead of just buying whatever Walmart had on their shelf.

What a day at work! We had four proposals to get out. Three were due by 5 p.m., or they would not be accepted. So they brought in another proofreader for the day to help. About lunchtime I went out to the kitchen to get a spoon, and when I got back, she was on the floor with people helping her---she had had a seizure of some sort. So once the ambulance came and went, I took up the slack, and we managed to get the first three out on time, then I worked on the fourth. I got out of there about 6:30, and had nothing to eat all day except a dish of oatmeal in the morning and a cup of yogurt I bolted down while we waited for the ambulance. But Mr. took me out for a solid meal when I got home, so it's all good now. Happily, our offices are closed Monday for Patriots Day, so we have a three-day weekend.

Praying she is all right! So sweet of Mr. to take you out to dinner! Enjoy your well-earned three day weekend, Merry!

The numbers tell us that tomorrow we will be just ONE WEEK away from the 200-day Season Window.
And one week from TODAY sees us to the 1/3 Christmas Day marker.
(Closerer and closerer we creep!)


Pretty good here yesterday weather-wise with clear, dry skies and calm winds.
It was a bit nippy but not too bad for April.
Now today sees a heavy rain prediction with highs in the 50's.
(Think I'll just skip today and move straight to tomorrow.)
Right now, it's 45 degrees here, with a light drizzle falling.

Good morning!
It is going to be a beautiful day, sunny with a high of 64 degrees. I need to get moving, I have so much to do. My oldest has a doctor appointment and I need to go food shopping. The supermarket is going to be a mad house today, I'm not looking forward to it. I also need to bring Maggie in to the vet, she was fussing with her ear last night. I'm not sure if she has an ear infection starting, so I want to get her in there asap. This poor dog can't catch a break! I have lots of cooking and baking to do for tomorrow as well. I will pop in during the day when I can, I'm sure I will be having a few coffee breaks throughout the day!
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!

Thank you for asking! Yes, Mom is slowly improving. Her doctor prescribed some pain medicine that she can actually handle this time, and thanks to it, sleeping much more comfortably at night. Her Chiropractor & PT also are happy to see some improvements this week. She hopes to be walking on her own by the end of next week!

Glad to hear your mom is improving! Continued prayers for her.
