Good Morning, It's-Mid-Week-Once-Again Friends!

And mid-week can only mean one thing (and by now we all know what that is).

But here's something you might not know but will be glad you found out about:

Days to the Season: 204

Days to Christmas Day: 246

Now, just under half a week from the the 1/3 Christmas Day marker and barely over half a week short of the the 200-day Season Window.

(These double-day Milestones really give me a chill -- in a nice way, of course!)

But what was not chilly yesterday was our fantastic weather. The predicted rain did not develop and mild temps continued with just enough breeze to make it interesting. The pollen fall has begun to diminish, too.

Currently, we record 57 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday and a Perfect 'Pines Day visit this evening!

(Right after Carl's pre-Easter bash, it's likely to be low key, but bear in mind that "low key" to him may not meet our definition of the term.)

Good morning, Crown!
Excited for our next milestone!
Have a great day!

Good day! The weeks go by so quickly, I am also looking forward to the weekend even though I will be working for some of it.

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had to do some work on my after-hours business yesterday, but I really needed to be on the lawn mower. My yard looks terrible! Nancy says I should put Jacob on the mower, but I have a specific way I like the lawn cut (45° to the street), and I can't trust him to do it correctly. LOL

I think I mentioned that this year is the 100th anniversary of our county, and each city in the county has a designated week of celebrations at different times during the year. I wanted Christmas, but the centennial committee didn't plan for a Christmas celebration.

Anyway, our week is the first week in June, and we're hosting passenger train rides from our historic depot, along with other displays, vendors, etc. It should be lot of fun!

We were remodeling city hall in anticipation of all the people, and our contractor just quit to take a full-time just in Atlanta. Now I have to meet with a new contractor at lunch, so no rest for the weary.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy
the lawn mowing things reminds me of us ladies who will not let anyone else fold the towels because they do not do it right! LOL
Sounds like some fun plans for your 100th anniversary celebrations. We will all write letters about that Christmas oversight!
Hope all went well with your meeting.

I understand that. Between my sisters & my brother we have started hosting all the holidays, except Christmas Eve which remains at my parents. But there is talk about moving that this year b/c it is very stressful for my parents now. They feel their house is too small, but it's really just fine. But at 85/86 years old, we won't argue! Makes me sad, but I do understand. My brother (in Cape Cod) mentioned having it at our house after our new addition is done. That wouldn't be all bad!!
we had to move our celebrations into a hall, we have 55 people to fit in! We have settled on the church hall that is most central to everyone. In this room is a play center for the kids to jump and play on, several game tables (shuffle board, pinball, etc) lots of tables & chairs. A big kitchen. Even a model train running on the track near the ceiling. So something for everyone here. Best of all it is only $50 to rent for the day! (everyone pitches in for that) We do potluck so no one has to do all the work.
We all relax, enjoy the event and go home knowing there is no house to clean up!

I gave our grandchildren their Easter Baskets yesterday. You would think I gave them gold! I didn't give them a ton of stuff either! They kept thanking me over and over and over! I kept getting tons of hugs too! They thanked me off and on for nearly an hour then again when they left. I just love the way they appreciate the little things in life! It warms my heart! cheesy
wonderful !
Goes back to great parenting and teaching kids to be thankful.

Good afternoon everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. :] Mine was quiet. I went to the church in the morning and had some lunch with few friends in the late afternoon. It was nice though.

Also, I received my shift timetable at the Commonwealth Games last night. I must say that I will be working quite a lot but that's perfectly okey with me because it means I will definitely get the most out of my volunteering there. :]

I only have few more days left before I start my exam revision. I hope to get my inspiration back and write a generous chunk for the novel. (It's been quite lately in terms of writing.)

I wish you all a nice day! Best wishes, and keep on smiling.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Well, the grass didn't get cut yesterday. A thunderstorm popped up out on nowhere and brought another 1.5" of rain. That Jacob has the luck of the Irish!

Since the grass was then too wet to cut, I grabbed a socket wrench and went out replacing stop signs that have faded. I bet that's what the mayor of New York City does when he has a spare few minutes, don't you?

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Bradmac, you are the most hands-on mayor I've heard of!

You have been very busy!

Good to see you!

Temps will be up to 86 today so time to open up the house again and air it out! I am trying real hard NOT to run the air conditioner during the day. I am not looking forward to the outrageous electric bills the summer will bring us!

I have to run it at night when it's warm or I just cannot sleep.

Me, too. I have to have a cool house and pile of blankets!

I wonder if Carl has a cure for the common cold ?
Or maybe just something that will make you feel like the cold is a nice thing to have?
I had to stay home from work today, did not think customers would want their cashier to cough all over their groceries.
I am cooking a big pot of chicken soup, put some garlic in it and the house is smelling really good now.
