The severe weather system that was to our south and west is set to move in here. Hopefully, it will be of reduced velocity. Lots of rain in the forecast for the next couple of days, however. (Just in time for our trip to the coast!)

For now, we record 54 degrees on our back door thermometer.

Being fans of vintage movies, Mr. and I get a special kick out of the cartoons that take off on actual celebrities of the day.

Thank you for the info! Now we have to find out if Boston is one of the 50 cities.

I'm a wee bit sad, though, that it's a digital restoration. If we can see it, we'll essentially be watching a high-res video instead of film. But at least it'll be interesting to see how 4K video compares with actual film. It's cool that the video is derived from the camera negative instead of transferred from a positive print. Digitally, that's as close to the original as you could possibly get.

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Elizabeth is still awfully sick. It's not the flu, but she's coughing & sneezing & wheezing terribly. The doctor prescribed antibiotics, steroids and an inhaler. The poor thing came to our room at 4am coughing, bless her heart. I wish I could bear that sickness for her. :-(

We're planning to go to our nephew's T-ball game this afternoon, but it looks like that bad weather is coming our way, too. I don't think it's supposed to be as bad by the time it gets here, though. Our corporate office is in Birmingham, and as a result I have a lot of friends in that area. They said it got pretty rough, but I don't know anyone who had any damage to speak of.

Worrying about all of you in the Southland. I heard that more severe weather is due today. Check in when you can and let us know that you're okay! It was so upsetting to read about the town that had just recovered, and got hit again. So tragic to lose everything, then to lose everything a second time. As CAH mentioned, it's a good reason to count your blessings if you have a roof over your head and are safe.

Rough day at work yesterday---got out of the office at 9:15 p.m., and worked all day with a headache and ringing in my ears. Better this morning.

I do appreciate you letting me know! It is their most popular movie and I do love the music but as I was telling you, my favorite is Help! I laughed all the way through that one. I have all their movies. They are suppose to finally release Let It Be on DVD and cannot wait to own that!

I hope to go and see this on the big screen!!!

I like the movie "Help!" better than "A Hard Day's Night." It is a funny movie, I always wanted a video game off the adventures of that movie.

getting better thanks, still a cough but that is getting less and now actually have energy again. Going into work tomorrow so will see how that goes.

Good morning!
We are expecting showers today with a high of 50 degrees. Lots more rain heading our way tomorrow.
Typical day here. I already went to the supermarket this morning. Love going early, it was empty. I still have to run to Target for a few things then back home for daily chores.
My husband told me he was determined to have the kitchen cabinets installed by May 11th (our anniversary) Well that's not going to happen. Way to get my hopes up! The finisher told him he will have the cabinets for a few weeks. Oh well. Whats a few more weeks at this point. Sigh. Hubby better plan something good on our anniversary to make up for it!

I am struggling with motivation and energy this morning, the process of getting ready for this major inventory has wiped me out. I head to work in 45 minutes.

[Christmas-A-Holic]

I am not looking like that dancing cat that I posted! I put on some music, tried to get some stuff done and collapsed! I am just sitting here on the couch and have zero energy! My granddaughter is "cooking" for me and told me to rest that she will take care of the house. Ha ha! I wish I could go to sleep but not doing that with a little one running around! She is hanging out with me in the living room while I sit here for just a few minutes. I think the last few days have caught up with me. We were on the go from 7 am - 7 pm Saturday dealing with hot weather getting sunburned, worked really hard all day Sunday, out in the heat and lots of walking yesterday. I just feel wiped out! I don't plan to lay here much longer, I really need to get up and get busy with some chores and have some fun with my granddaughter.

Santa Alert!!!

Just as I typed this my granddaughter picked up a picture she drew and asked to send it to Santa Claus! I love her way of thinking during the month of April! I am about to grab an envelope and get it in the mail for her! =)
