I will be praying for him.

My mom has had cataract surgery, a patch on eye for awhile, and a couple of other procedures done, she walked out of hospital and able to just continue on. (she was 82 when the cataract was done)

He had cataract surgery some years ago. This one is a possible torn retina---happened very suddenly yesterday. The cataract surgery went very smoothly. He had one of the best surgeons in Boston. But retina repair has me a little nervous. Still, I'm glad it's being done right away.

We are a little depressed and down tonight, the new car deal fell through. We are still trying to work on it, but we are seeking out our options right now.

The problem is we were not ready for another new car so soon. To get the Saturn back to being driveable again would cost more than the car is worth, so we are stuck between a rock & a hard place.

Get the Saturn repaired at 11 years old, we would just be asking for trouble, it has been starting to give us real trouble the last few years and who is to say that would not continue. We were counting on it to last until next year before we replaced it, so now we are probably going to pay more than we can afford for a new car now instead of next year when we would be able to put down more money on it.

The dealership has been incredible helping us through with this, amazing really, the last week has really shown me customer service is not dead.

We will figure this out, just another bump in the road. Everything happens for a reason.

I work early tomorrow, my best employee is still out injured, so I replaced her shift tomorrow with myself. Glad to get out earlier than usual tomorrow.



I may still be lurking around for a little while, but just in case...

Well we didn't get the superbowl and the Pacers lost to the Heat, but Josh Kaufman did win the voice!!!!! So Indy is 1 for 3 today. Maybe this weekend will go better for us.

The ground turkey was excellent, I was unable to find turkey broth, but used chicken broth instead. VERY tasty, my wife was impressed with it. She wants this as part of regular rotation of dinner foods.

We normally do not get thunder and lightning, but this year so far, we have had LOTS!!!

I wonder how Mgramsey is doing? I've been thinking about him a lot lately with all of the graduations and knowing his son was going to graduate this year.

Yes, I also thought of this recently. I remembered it is a bittersweet time for him. I hope all is well with them.

Thank you, that means a lot! His procedure is tomorrow. It's an outpatient thing. We have tickets for the Red Sox tomorrow night, but I don't know if we can go---I don't know what kind of recuperation is required. But I don't mind, so long as the eye is healed!

Prayers and thoughts are with you and Mister. I hope the procedure goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I know you were looking forward to the Red Sox game so fingers crossed you can still go.
