Good Morning!

The grandkids will be here soon and trying to figure out what fun we will have today. Our local library have lots of activities for the summer that we are involved in. Last week it was a Lego building competition and I was one of the judges. They kept us in another room while the kids built their projects then brought us out to judge. It was fun! We also checked out about 40 books and the kids have been enjoying reading a lot. They read so many hours per week and get prizes. We also went to the aquarium at Fair Park, the playground and McDonalds for ice cream and play there as well.

The weather has been great so far with temps holding at around 93 and below. I can handle that!!! Usually it is nearing 100 by now. I would still like it to be in the 80's and below but not going to complain as long as it can stay below 100!

I hope you all have a Merry Day!!!

I hear-by decree, that as of today, there shall be no more Mondays to be included into the work week.....

when my kids were small they were always involved in reading programs at the library. They are all still avid readers.
Sounds like a fun day with the kids, enjoy your special time together.

Ha-Ha! Now that I got that out.... "GOOD MORNING MMC" :snowball:

The weekend re-cap for me was really good. The only frown that I had was on Saturday; Lisa bought this special order "custom" half round blind, and I thought that thing was going to do me in. The package arrived with the wrong installation instructions included, so we called customer service, got them to send us the "correct install instructions...."! Guess again, the first 1-7 steps were correct, but steps 8-15, not so correct.....the instructions reflected parts that are no longer included in the install kit and so half of the hardware was not indicated on the instructions and I had no idea what to do with it. Well, I was determined to get it in, so after 5 hours of fumbling and bumbling, I prevailed; all on my own....I'm such a good boy!!!!

Father's Day was great! We went to visit my in-laws and we cooked out on the grill and both of my kids were there, my grandfather and my wife's grandfather were there as well; 95 and 91 respectfully, God bless them!

I was not here all weekend so I am sending out a belated "Happy Father's Day" to all of you other dads out there, I hope everyone had a chance to spend time with their families and hopefully enjoyed their day~:-)

Snowflake, keeping your mom in prayer.

MerryCarey, keep us posted on Mr.. I pray he gets well soon!

Good Morning, New-Week, Near Single-Digiters.

Yes, hard though it may be to believe, as of tomorrow we will be down to SINGLE DIGITS to our next Milestone marker, the half-way point to this year's Christmas Day!

Days to the Season: 150

Days to Christmas Day: 192

The weather yesterday?

Well, a bit more humid. But no rain and the temps were not too high.

We should have another dry one today but our precipitation chances increase as the week wears on.

I read 71 degrees currently on our back door thermometer.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone.

(Hard to believe we are now in the 2nd half of June already!)

Thanks, Crown!! Very exciting!!

Your summer sounds so great. I know both you and your grandkids will remember it for a long time! You're making very special memories.

Okay, I want to order a few more days' worth of today's weather!

:tree:Ok folks, as a reminder for this coming Saturday:

It will be the Summer Solstice - the longest day of the Year!!!!

The solstice heralds the beginning of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. In 2014, the solstice falls on June 21 at 6:51 A.M. EDT.

The summer solstice is the day with the most hours of sunlight during the whole year.

After that folks, we will officially be on the downward side of the year~ :rudolph:

Thank you for all of the thoughts, messages & prayers for my Mom. She had her appointment with the orthopedic surgeon yesterday. They have scheduled her for surgery next Wednesday, and will have about a month of initial recovery.

Glad to hear you're mom got some answers and she will be having some comfort soon. Prayers for a smooth surgery and recovery.

Good morning!
We are expecting more rain again today with temperatures in the lower 70's. The weekend is looking good though, it's going to be sunny and warm.
Today is my husbands 47th birthday. Can't believe we were just teenagers when we met. Where does the time go? Speaking of time flying by, today is also the last day of school for my youngest daughter. Tests are scheduled for next week and her graduation ceremony will be on the 28th. It's a big milestone for her, and also for me. I am trying to keep it together as I enter a new chapter in my life. The mass of thoughts and emotions are overwhelming. I am so proud and excited for her yet sad at the same time, if that makes any sense. It is incredibly bittersweet.
Another busy day for me. My oldest has her appointment with the ENT this morning. We'll see what he has to say about those tonsils coming out. Then I have an appointment to have my hair cut and colored. It's the last thing I feel like doing but it has to be done. I also need to finish up my menu plan and grocery list for next week. I'm hoping to get to the butcher at some point today and do the rest of my food shopping tomorrow. I also have a couple of other quick errands to run and then back home to work on daily chores. We'll be celebrating my husbands birthday this evening. I planned on grilling out, hopefully the weather will cooperate!
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!

Happy Belated Birthday to your hubby!

Thanks everybody! Gracie was still pretty mopey last night...She finally came out from under our bed, so I took her outside. She was laying under our patio table & I went in the house for a few minutes. Came back out & she was ON TOP of the table. Little booger! I got her down & she was all sad, laying around. THEN my friend came over with her 2 girls & she was sooooo happy! After they left, she ate all her food - 1st time since Tuesday that she ate! YAY GRACIE! She was much more peppy this morning. We did give her the last dose of pain/inflammation medicine. Vet said she may not need it, but... how do we know?? So she got it. Might help keep her a little calmer too.

Mom's test came back negative for blood clot. She has an apt. at 1:00 today with the family doc. Hoping/praying it's nothing serious!!!

Glad to hear Gracie is doing so much better and wonderful about your mom's test.
