Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good morning MMC!! Happy, Happy Friday!!!!

I'm hoping to make it through the rest of the posts before quitting time but I'm not sure if I'll make it so I'll say HELLO now!! :smile:

Had a good time with the neighbors last night. Breakfast for supper was delicious! SO. MUCH. FOOD. I think Adam enjoyed his going away party! Hard to believe...he was a baby when we moved in!! Good thing only he is getting older!

Saturday is my nieces engagement party & I think that's the only plans for the weekend. I am bringing stuffed jalapeno's to put on the cooker/grill. My BIL is pulling their big cooker there & making a bunch of wings. Should be a fun night. We might head to the lake tonight or we might stay home to start getting ready for the town festival next weekend! Lots of cleaning to do before then!! Fun fun - not! Tomorrow morning we are going to pick out flooring for our kitchen & four season room. Getting excited - we have it narrowed down to a few already! But 1st things 1st - heading to the grocery store after work this afternoon!

Good morning MMC!
It's going to be a beautiful day, sunny and warm.
I am dragging my feet this morning but I need to get moving. I have lots of chores to do and my daughter also has a routine doctor appointment in a little while. I need to work on a menu plan and grocery list for next week as well. My husband finished putting all of the handles and knobs on the kitchen cabinets last night so I think I may start putting some stuff back in to the new cabinets. My dining room is completely filled with kitchen stuff, I can't wait to get everything out of there!

I wish prom was earlier, it's two days before the graduation ceremony. And the graduation rehearsal is the morning of prom. They've got a lot of nerve doing that, lol. Maybe it's not so bad for the guys, but the girls have a lot to do the day of prom!!!

Good evening!
I'm glad I'm not having any problem logging on to MMC this evening. And I'm so happy Tapatalk is working, what a pain in the butt that was!
Not too much has happened over the past few days, we're just busy with the end of the school year stuff. My husband is still working on the kitchen cabinets. Boy is it going slow. He's doing the best he can though especially considering the long hours he works. Plus his foot has been bothering him, he has some arthritis that's causing pain. He got a few injections today from the doctor and it seems to have helped. He does a little bit in the kitchen every night, he's drilling holes right now for the handles and knobs. I'll post some progress pictures soon. Thankfully the girls are all well and the animals are good except that Maggie's cough has flared up again. I've been reading up on some holistic remedies and I think I may try that next. I will keep you posted.
Well I'm going to turn in, I was on the run most of the day and I'm starting to feel it.

I am exhausted tonight, sorry I didn't reply to any posts, but recovering from the power outage at work has taken a lot out of me. Tomorrow I deal with my nemesis at work, that will be "fun." I am really worried about his retaliation at this point, he is a vindictive, lying, throw anyone under the bus to get his way type.
Winding down now, reading some MMC, with eau de skunk wafting through the window. PU! The boys had their last day of school today, I think they are both sad that it is over. They both did very well on their report cards.
One month from today we will be in Lake George, I am so looking forward to vacation right now.

I am going to go drift off to dreamland.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!!! It's going to be a little bit cooler with a high of 86 but the humidity is still supposed to be unbearable. Most of my day is going to be spent helping my neighbor and waiting on my sister to call and say they made it into Seattle okay. They made it into Phoenix a little bit ago and my sister said my niece's were being pretty good. So that's a positive. Hopefully they are just as good for the second half of the flight. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Gracie had a blast last night. Our 2 neighbor girls (18 & 16) took Gracie & Lexi (her best golden doodle pup friend) for a walk to the park/pond. ALL of them got a work out! It was too cute!







I am so sorry I didn't make it with cinnamon rolls. The neighbors got a whiff & they were GONE!! :lol:

Hopefully storms aren't too bad today!!

Just got back from the doc's, received a clean bill of health. He said my blood pressure is the best he's seen in me for over 15 years; 120 over 78...It's the new house and all the fresh country air~

LOL!!!!!! I guess I'm not as big of a scaredy cat as I thought because it really didn't scare me at all. The part were she discovers the tooth was a little bit freaky but I thought it was going to be a whole lot worse than that.

Oh boy, tomorrow is Summer Solstice, which means it is the longest calendar day (daylight) of the year for the Northern Hemisphere.... Starting this Sunday, the daylight starts heading back in the opposite direction and the days will start to slowly get shorter and shorter....

I'm hoping for a nice day here at the office, get out of here at a decent time and head home. Victoria, is having some friends coming over tonight to spend the night tonight. This weekend, I will spend some time with my grandfather, go to the landfill, call my cousin in California and talk with him a bit, (I just found out that his dad passed away very unexpectedly at age 62), cut grass, do some odds and ends and then on Sunday, my father-in-law and I will be re-wring my main electrical panel in the basement and also install a new 100 amp sub-panel; it's good to have a master electrician as your father-in law!

The weather is supposed to be beautiful all weekend here, sunny and cool with highs in the 70's and lows in the 50's....Perfect weather to get stuff done on the outside....Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend this weekend! Yea, we are at the half way point of the year........:!!

This makes me soooooooooooooooooooo sad!!! I better really enjoy today & tomorrow!!!!!

I finally got the grass cut yesterday, then I jumped in the pool.

Lunch today with mom, then a trip to Statesboro to play practice.

I have had a time getting on here but it seems we all have.

Early this week my mom, the grandkids and I became members of the Perot Museum. WOW! That place is AMAZING! We were members of that museum when it was at Fair Park (different name) they closed it down, moved it to Downtown Dallas, made it a lot bigger and changed the name. The lady that use to work the ticket area at the old museum is working at this one. We haven't seen her in a couple of years and she was so shocked how much the kids have grown. We were at the museum for 3 hours and did not even see half of it. According to the map there are 6 floors, we only explored parts of 3 of them. I am glad we joined so we can go as often as we want so we can take our time looking at it all. I saw license plates from all over the USA in the parking lot, Pennsylvania and California were right by us. If you are ever in Dallas I recommend visiting it!

Last night Snow-in-Texas and I took our daughter and grandkids to see a Beatles tribute band at the Arboretum called, A Hard Nights Day. They were really good and we had a fantastic time! Since I have to watch them this morning while their parents work we went ahead and brought them home with us to spend the night - they are still asleep!

I have to run but hope I can get back on here later and try to catch up!

Yes, it's all in your mindset. We saw it in a theater next to the woods. Then went for a hike afterwards!

Back then, they marketed it out to be real. And you didn't know for sure if it was! I thought it was all so smart of them. And I loved how they brought a witch into it as the "monster". That hadn't been done in awhile. I think it also kind of began the whole "found footage" genre.

Appreciate the prayers, Friend!!!!! Both girls slept most of the first flight since they left so early but they will probably be wide awake this second flight.
