Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be another hot day with some more storms moving in this afternoon. So pretty much the same as every day the last 2 weeks. I need to get myself in gear and run some errands this morning. Then this evening is the Nascar race!!! Go Dale Jr!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

[Christmas-A-Holic]

Good day friends!

My daughter, son-in-law and grandkids are moving back into a house they lived in before that is right across from us. They never lived too far from us anyway but I love having them in walking distance!!! I am so happy! They don't mind living by me either because my son-in-law said I am not like Raymond's mom from Everybody Loves Raymond - Ha ha! (If you are not familiar with the show she lives across the street from her son's family, nosy and always showing up at their house unannounced). I do respect my daughter's family privacy as well as they respect ours but we do spend a lot of time together. They have lived in a few different houses and they said this one is their very favorite. They are glad it became available again and so am I!!!

I am enjoying this summer weather so far. I cannot believe that we have remained under 95 degrees with rain and cool weather has been hitting us once in awhile. I do not ever remember a summer starting out like this before. By 4th of July it will be around 97-98 degrees so it will be heating up a bit, just don't want to see triple digits!

We have been taking the kids to the library, Perot Museum and Arboretum this week. It has been fun and busy!

I am getting excited about all the Christmas in July shows coming up!!!

My "baby" graduates high school today. How did my baby girl grow up into an 18 year old about to go off to college? It feels like it was just yesterday that I put you on the bus to kindergarten. I followed the bus and hid so you didn't see me, so I knew that you made it there safely. To all of you with kids, especially small ones...this goes fast, enjoy it! I love the young women my girls have grown up to be, I just miss the days that got them there.
I can already hear Pomp & Circumstance in my head, hope I can keep it together!

We moved last year, and we all miss that we don't have my parents
in the neighbourhood anymore...
(now we have to drive for ten minutes to get to them...)

On Wednesday we came home and got out of the car.......And what did Kandice ask me?

Such a proud moment..........She said "Mom, can we please watch a Christmas movie?"

So we sat down and watched Home Alone in Midjune because my daughter wished to do so .....so proud

Really, really excited about this week. The 4th of July is a big week for me as it signifies time to get in serious prep mode for Christmas. While it's still far away, I can't believe how far we have come this year so fast! We are really doing some planning for Bambina's birthday, too. We went to the cake place and they gave us sample cupcakes....it's a tough life, but somebody has to do it.

Off to work today and then back to camp this evening. Going to be about 50 people at this get together, lots of food fun friends and family. Someone is bringing fireworks to celebrate Canada Day a bit early.
The tents are up and the pool is open !

I am just like you about 4th of July! I love celebrating our country and our Patriotic church service is amazing! Then it's the kick off to getting ready for the holidays.

It's so hard to believe your baby is about to celebrate a birthday! We are all such good friends here and I love sharing our milestones together.

My parents are about a 5 minute drive from us and my daughter's house is about that far as well. Now I will be in walking distance to my daughter's house when she moves back! I can't believe at one time my daughter talked about moving somewhere that would take about a 20 minute drive to her house and I was crushed, Ha ha!!! Silly, I know, but we never been that "far" away from each other. She didn't end up moving there. I love being close to my family!
