Morning all,

Wet and miserable morning here in SE England, but on the plus side, its hump day so the weekend is not too far away!

Still waiting on house moving news... I am getting sick and tired of it all... we accepted the offer on our place back in October, and we still havent moved! I was talking to a friend of mine who lives in Missouri, and he said when he bought his house over there it took six weeks! *grumble grumble grumble* Hopefully we will exchange contracts this week, and will be able to move next week....

Anyhoo, enough of my rambling....time for a cup of coffee and a choc chip muffin!

Have a good day everyone

Sounds like we all are having unusual weather this year, ours goes from very warm to very cold back to very warm and raining, no happy medium.
Sounds a bit like the stock market, Renn!

Days to the Season: 288
Days to Christmas Day: 330

In the fifties here too, Bing. Plus, ominous storm clouds.
We had some rain overnight and it looks like we will get more today, which is a good thing owing to our continuing drought.
You had better stock up on.......well.......you know......I know......EVERYBODY knows.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, my friends.
We are at the peak of the week and the view ahead to the weekend looks wonderful!

:cold: Baby it's cold outside!!!! Thermometer said 4º this morning & weather.com says feels like -14º!! BRRRRRRR! It is SO windy ~ 60 MPH wind gusts!! WEW! I told my hubby last night that we should have taken our flags down off our flag pole...we put up 2 new flags after the new year & they sounded like they were getting ripped to shreds overnight!! He said "I'm not going out there NOW to get them!!!" Lol! MEN!!!

Well I just can't believe it's Februaury in two days, because im still waiting for the winter to start.
We have had some cold weather but the sun is shining today.

Its also my wedding anniversary - 4 years!!!

~WOW! That was one scary storm last night! According to the Beaufort Scale...we had a violent storm...64 miles per hour wind chill MINUS 20 winds. I laid awake and felt this old house rock on it's foundation. The doors were moving back & forth in their casings and I expected them to blast open. Even those flannel sheets and down comforter didn't help.

How is everyone today? Glad to see your happy posts! This coffee is perking me up, and boy, it sure tastes good...ummm.

:hello: Happy Hump Day! Speaking of Humps - how's Carl the Camel?

Talk about crazy weather . . . one side of the city was fighting rain and strong winds, the rain turned to snow and the school buses were cancelled then by around 2 pm the other side of the city got hit with the mess while the sky in my end showed blue patches, but still strong winds persisted. They stopped the city bus run to the other side of town, I don't think they've ever done that before.

Thankfully work isn't far and my jaunt to and from is fairly simple, still I almost wound up at a Starbucks in Michigan, but another wind current tossed me back my way just in time for supper.

Today was a longgggggggg day at work, tomorrow another one and Friday - well that's another busy one - I'm not saying Monday and Tuesday weren't busy, but I had time to take a few breaths.

Catch y'all on the flip side of the storm.

Today, I was humming a Christmas tune and didn't even realize it until someone else started humming along.

:snowball: So, I leave you with the sounds in my head . . .

Hum Hum Hum Hum Hum Hum - okay it wasn't that bad, I was it was more like Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells . . .

morning x
it was sooooo windy last night !

Morning All,

Looks like we have the windy weather down here in SE England this morning too! On the radio this morning, they were saying that we should expect gusts of up to 70mph!

Think I will have to go home at lunchtime, and take down my temporary HF aerial which I put up last night, dont want to come home and find its in somebody elses garden!

Anyway, hope you all have a great Thursday... its time for me to have some coffee....cant.....function.....without....it....

Seeya,

Scoobie

GOOD MORNING!!! :D It's ALMOST Friday & guess what???? We are supposed to get 4-8" of snow between 7 PM tonight & 6 PM tomorrow!!! They can keep the freezing rain, but BRING ON THE SNOW!!!

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL LIFT NORTHEAST ACROSS THE OHIO VALLEY TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY. AS IT DOES...SNOW WILL OVERSPREAD THE AREA TONIGHT. THE SNOW MAY MIX WITH SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN AT TIMES LATE TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING. THE SNOW WILL TAPER OFF TO SNOW SHOWERS THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON. TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 4 TO 8 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED ACROSS MERCER (that's me!) COUNTY THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

Have a GREAT Thursday!!!

Good Morning, Good Morning, Good Morning!

I hope everyone in My Merry Christmas land is well, happy and warm on this chilly last day of January.
The temp was 28 when I left for the office and I was again glad I threw a sheet over the windshield of my car last night - no ice scraping to do.

Days to the Season: 287
Days to Christmas Day: 329

We are moving right along to our 2nd milestone, the 25% mark, now under 2 weeks away. Incredible!

Speaking of Humps - how's Carl the Camel?
Ah! I wondered when someone would ask about Carl.
Big news there. Our dear triple-humped friend decided he wanted to visit the land of his heritage, Saudi Arabia, and right after Christmas, off he went. Said he wanted to "discover his roots" and track down rumors of other 3-hump relatives in his family tree. He sends periodic e-mails and seems to be having a good time. (Just yesterday, he told me he LOVES the warm weather and frolicking in the desert sand)
As for when he will be back - who knows?

Have a Thrilling Thursday, one and all!

Good morning everyone! I had my morning coffee about an hour ago, got little one off to school, got my house all tidied up and some laundry in the washer. So I guess I can say I got my exercise in for this morning. The weather here is cloudy..not much wind and not real cold outside. But they could change very quickly..who knows. I am also thinking about what to make for dinner this evening. I made lemon chicken and rice last night and it was wonderful. I hope you all have a great day!

It's Evening here now and the weather is very cold!! Brrrrrrrrr. My daughter has just settled down to watch a kids DVD and by the way it has a Christmas Theme!!
I thought I'd be lazy today and did my grocery shopping online. Anyone ever tried that?

You threw a sheet over the car? OMG you are now also sleeping on the hood of the car?

YABBA!
