My niece is a speech therapist - I told my sister we will have to get Dad & her set up on Skype & they can do virtual speech therapy if Medicare says he's out of therapy hours! :lol: (Medicare only allows so much therapy for a year & he has been going to physical therapy with my nephew for pain in his shoulders - they consider speech & physical therapy in the same group as far as # of hours allowed. )

I agree sista....it IS a bunch of crud!!! Ya - we are very blessed to have so many medical people in our family!! (most of the time - lol)

That is kind of crazy that they consider them the same.

It's good that you have another family member that can help out if he needs it though!!!!!

Exactly made!! It is crazy!! He is going to get therapy regardless, but hopefully it works out he has enough hours left!

Good Afternoon, Everyone!!!! Well since mom was still not doing good this morning we made a trip back to the ER. I'm not a huge fan of the doctor we got and he proved why again today. All he did was order an MRI and when it came back clear, he just sent her home. He just said it was unexplained weakness. I can tell him that there is nothing unexplained about it. It's pretty clear what is going on. Whatever though. There isn't really anything they can do anyways. It just has to run it's course and this is playing out exactly like the one in march. Face was numb and drooping the first day along with a little bit of weakness on the right side. Second day face was better but she couldn't walk because she was so weak on the right side. Then the third day that weakness started to let up and she could walk with out someone holding her up. So hopefully that pattern holds true and tomorrow she will be able to get around on her own again. I'll be back to get caught up here in a bit. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!

Made, I will be keeping your mom in my prayers. I hope tomorrow is a better day xx

Not a good swallow test result for my Dad.
Water went down the wrong pipe & no cough reflex! Recommending thickened liquids & speech therapy. DARNIT!!!!!
