Yay, I'm back! My Tapatalk wasn't working last night. Then I tried to log on from my laptop a couple of times this morning but that wouldn't work either. Anyway, everything seems to be fine now. I hope I didn't miss anything important. I've been super busy. My daughter still feels awful so I've been taking care of her all day and trying to keep up with everything else around here. I'm also dorm shopping still for my youngest whenever I get the chance. I'm beat! I can't wait until things slow down and are back to normal.
I've been having a hard time keeping up here, you've all been in my thoughts. I hope everyone is well and had a nice day. I'll try to pop back in later if Tapatalk lets me!

I am not sure if everyone has had issues logging in but a few of us have. I think it's just the work that is being done on the site causing problems with you logging in - maybe? I had difficulties off and on today trying to log in.

I am sorry to hear your daughter feels so bad. I pray she feels better soon!!! Get some rest and visit us when you can. Take care!!!

The weather was so perfect today that my mom and I took the kids to the park. My mom and I joined the kids climbing and sliding down the slides. They have these springy things that you rock back and forth on. (pictured below). My mom and I sat on them - I sat on the duck and my mom on the motorcycle and we started rocking on them. :lol: (they are not as small as they look in the picture). We wanted to see how the kids would react to us sitting on these. What was comical is that our grandkids didn't think a thing about it, they were not phased by us playing on these or embarrassed. I guess grandma and great grandma seemed normal to them. Ha ha!!!

When we left the park we went to the library. They had some outdoor activities, sidewalk chalk art and blowing bubbles followed up with popsicles for the kids.

I am exhausted today! I hope I get a good nights sleep, I need it!!!

Dad's knee replacement went great. He has already walked 1,000 feet and been released from the hospital.

On a completely separate, much more upbeat matter.....

I purchased three Christmas presents today.

For me, it has started.

Okay I just had to jump in here and post this... LOL

Earlier today we got a call from a boxing, martial arts coach we've worked with on several occasions. She is going to Thailand, Japan and China for three months starting mid-October, training at different gyms and filming the entire thing for a Sundance independent film. She wondered if Noah would be available to go. She wanted people with her who already had a strong martial arts background, could be respectful of others in different countries, people she could trust and had experience filming. Noah just turned 18 this month. It's an incredible opportunity. We told him when he got home this evening to see if he was interested.

At first he was over the moon excited, then things started to settle in. After about 20 minutes of elation he suddenly drew back and said, "But what about my pups? I don't know if I can stand being away from my dogs for that long. Man - I've never been away from home completely by myself for more than a week, I was several states away, but still in the country. (Long pause while he's thinking - then it dawns on him and he blurts out), WAAAIT a minute!!! If she's leaving mid-October for three months - Does that mean I'd miss Christmas at home with you guys?? I CAN'T MISS CHRISTMAS!!!"

... and my little Christmas-ite heart swelled three sizes that day. *snickers*

Hi my Christmas friends. How r all of Y all doing? This is Kandice´s first week of summer break....she´s been a good gal...playing playmobil and legos....and she can sleep in since yesterday, since I caught a summerflu...so we don´t have to go anywhere......coughing and sneezing.....it hasn´t gotten worse since yesterday...not better, too....but at least not worse....so i think maybe by tomorrow I´ll be on the rise.....at least I had a little more energy this morning and was able to tidy up a bit, fold some clothes and stuff like this....but I feel the energy leaving again somehow...and will lay down a little after vaccuming the house

Praying you are better soon, track! I hope Kandice has a super time on her break!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

Nancy's mom had cornea transplant surgery yesterday, and I think everything went as planned. They let her come home last night, so we took supper to their house. It's not often that I eat at Mrs. Hilda's table that she hasn't cooked the meal.

After supper, I went home and sprayed my yard to kill that crazy @#$%& Bahia grass. I could go two weeks without cutting my grass if it weren't for that stuff, and every time it rains, the Bahia grows 6". Grrrr. But I finally sprayed it down yesterday. That's what you get, Bahia!!

We're still preparing for the long weekend with Elizabeth's Oliver Twist play. That should be fun!
