Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good Morning, Folks.

Proceeding on -- and getting mighty close to our next big Milestone!

Days to the Season: 102
Days to Christmas Day: 144

Mighty close?
Well, I would say the day after tomorrow would constitute "might close",
wouldn't you?
That's exactly how far away we are from the 100-day Season Window and
the begining of a double-digit Season count sequence.
(Gives one the shivers, doesn't it?)


Plenty of off and on again rain yesterday and the entire day just felt damp.
At least the temps were low (not sure we even reached 70).
Today may be more of the same and we have started off at 67 degrees.

Good Morning, MMC!!

Happy Sunday!

We plan to lay low today, looking forward to it. Adrian had a nice birthday yesterday, he says thank you for wishing him well! He biked 61 miles yesterday! And is feeling the effects today =] And we went out and had a nice dinner at a new Italian Steakhouse in town. Decorated old school Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, etc. Fun place! Loved the food, atmosphere, and music.

Yesterday was busy, but it was fun. A lot of visiting....


Today, getting ready for the week. School-mode is approaching. I've got to attend three workshops this week and then teachers are back next week. It's here. That's fine with me because it also means Christmas is quickly approaching. Almost to 100 days until the season...wow. Cool thing for us is that this is our last month without an event...Bambina's bday is next month and then we roll into Halloween...to Thanksgiving....to Christmas! YIPEE!

Forgot to mention but we have been talking about going to the Johnson Space Center in Houston for over a year now. It's just about a 4 hour drive and we keep passing it on the way to Galveston when we go or just go to Houston for other things but just never stop to see the Space Center! I think we are planning to make the trip after school starts. We have been to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida but never been to the Johnson Space Center. I love that kind of stuff, so does my dad and Wayne. Wayne and I are for sure going and I think my dad plans to join us. I can't wait!

I would love to go there!!!!! I hope you guys have a blast!!!!

Not too much going on here, I'll be hanging out with my daughter all day. It's raining here again so it's a good day to just stay in and relax. My parents are going to come over later this afternoon to visit her so that will be nice too.

getting some things done around the house today.
Watching netflix and it is so funny, the voice and pictures are out of sync. It is almost like watching the old movies LOL A woman talking with a mans voice describing a horse but people are playing tennis.

home again, stuffed after sampling 6 different flavors of ribs. Not to mention the corn on the cob, many salads, fresh vegies and dip and about 10 different desserts.

The judge sadly, was unable to pick a winner and stated that we must return on the labor day weekend and have a rematch.

The storms that threatened never came to our area so we were a bit chilled but stayed dry.

It was a good day!

Sounds so yummy! That's such a bummer you'll have to do that again...I think I'll volunteer to be a judge too!
