Good morning everyone. Been MIA for a few days. The 2 oldest kids and myself had the greatest time Saturday night. We went to the Liverpool FC game in Charlotte. It was amazing.
This is will be my first week of working both jobs, so we will see how it goes.

Good morning MMC! Happy Monday! What a beautiful (weather) weekend! We got out on our pontoon Friday & Saturday night & yesterday we took Gracie out on our speed boat...I haven't been on the speed boat for years... so much fun! Gracie LOVED it too! It's been a long time since we have been on the water 3 days in a row! Now it's back to work... (BOOOO)

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Well, Oliver is finally over, and it was a great production! Elizabeth had several scenes in this play, so she stayed busy. One of her characters was a barmaid, and the outfits she and the other girls had to wear gave me...pause, but Nancy said it was fine, so who am I to argue? I've never read Oliver Twist, but I didn't expect the violence. Shoot, there was even a murder!

Anyway, she talked me into allowing her to audition for the Fall play, Count: the Legend of Dracula. We wanted a break, but she wanted it so badly, and I've never been good at telling her no. So, here we go again.

Congratulations to Elizabeth!

The musical is boiled down from Dickens' novel (originally a magazine serial), and a lot is left out---including additional violence. Oliver is wounded when he's forced by Sikes to climb into a house through a window to unlock the door. The homeowner wakes up and wings Oliver with a gunshot. The household nurses him back to health (part a subplot that the musical either ignores or glosses over).

I can't believe how late it is already, I'm really dragging my feet today. I woke up with a headache again and I am just exhausted. Thankfully there isn't too much going on. I've just been working on my daily chores around the house. If I feel up to it I'm going to run some errands this afternoon.
My daughter said she feels a little bit better today so that's a good sign. It has been one week since she had the surgery so I'm sure the worst is over. Although she said her ears are really hurting her today. The doctor said that is normal after a tonsillectomy. She only has one more week off to recuperate so I hope she keeps improving with every day that goes by.
Oh and my uncle gave me zucchini from his garden so I'm going to make quiche and a zucchini pie today. I have a lot so I'm going to google some recipes to get more ideas.

What an interesting morning we have had. Wayne just upgraded his smart phone last week because he was having too many issues with his other one. This morning he dropped it on the ground and shattered the screen to the point he is locked out of his phone and cannot use it at all. We went to AT&T and since we foolishly did not insure the phone it will cost 200 bucks to replace it. We then found a repair shop to fix it for 130 bucks. Wayne was super bummed out about it all because he just got the phone but I said, "Hey, it's just a phone"! We cannot help but to be a bit annoyed because he hasn't even had it a week and we don't have the money right now to fix it. Lesson learned - get a protective case and insure it! It's okay! Count our blessings, count our blessing!!! I am going to make all things better and put on Johnny Mathis Christmas CD! I wonder if listening to Christmas music can make us some money to pay for repairs. :lol: Yay!

This phone repair shop is down the street from the repair shop that has the reality show, Fast and Loud. We can stop by and say hi to them. (I bet they are not even there, only there for filming).

The same thing happened to me with my iPhone, and I did have the insurance. It still cost me a $150 deductible & the headache of transferring all of my data to the new phone, lol. Phones are a great convenience, but like pc's a hassle sometimes too!
