We went to "Meet the Teacher" night, last night and that was hard on the both of us, but DH and I both going to be one of the main volunteers in her classroom and I think we are going to volunteer to be the "Head Homeroom" parent (which will help out the teacher with various things when needed), unless someone beats us to it. Sadly, she announced to us last night, she was diagnosed with breast cancer last week. How sad. She had the sub teacher there last night, but not only do we want to be there for EA, but DH and I want to be there to help when needed to for the teacher's sake. She's is going to need it too.

That is great that you are volunteering!! My sister in Washington volunteers one day in each of my niece's and nephews classes.

Praying for her teacher. That is terrible.

We love doing it. We did it with EA in preschool and Pre-K and will do it with DS now that he is starting Preschool. That is beauty of working night shift. I can work around sleep, to be with my kids. I'm thankful too, that DH has the job he does and is home a good bit and is always willing to go be a great dad.

My daughter and I loved that movie....My wife likes the movie, But Oh boy, she cannot stand listening that song any longer because they have played it over and over and over again....cheesy
