Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good Morning. Today's a big day for us, we have home inspections today, on the house that we have a contract on. If everything goes well, it will be a good thing, if not, well then it could be a deal breaker.... So, fingers crossed.

I made a road trip to BJ's Wholesale club last night and I bought a whole tray of Cinnamon buns to bring to work this morning; (thought I would treat the guys here a little bit) and wash it down with a cup of coffee and to Ill start my day off with a good sugar rush.....lol

Hope everyone has a great day today, and remember, smile, there's only one more day until we get a 3 day weekend.....

Good morning!
I'm heading out soon to pick up bagels, my parents are coming for breakfast and to say goodbye to my daughter. I'm going to be busy today, we have a few last minute things to take care of. My daughter wants to spend some time with a few of her friends this afternoon and then we'll be going out to dinner later this evening. I'm sure I will pop back in here at some point. I have had that same kind of hungover feeling before. This evening, for the first time in over 28 years, I have felt as if a migraine were trying to take root. I have had two doctors' appointments, had to pick up Romex so Hubby could finish some wiring, had to pick up some scrapbooking supplies for myself, and then drive back home (a 45-minute drive, normally). On the way home, I noticed that the car felt and sounded funny, sort of like just before a flat tire. I stopped and checked but couldn't see anything wrong. It kept up with the sound and sort of shimmy. I stopped two more times but still couldn't see anything. I called Hubby and told him which way I was coming home to give him a heads-up. The shimmy and noise became worse the faster I drove, so I kept my speed under 50 mph. Luckily, there was not a lot of traffic on those back roads. I made it home, and we will take the car to the garage tomorrow, well, really today, lol! I think all that tension contributed to my headache. All of that coupled with the insomnia as a side effect of the cancer meds made for a tiring day! Take care, MC.

Yes, that experience is certainly enough to cause a headache. I had a weird experience like that once, and it turned out to be a tire that had a weak spot---the innertube was protruding and caused a bump on the tire that I could hear and feel. I didn't find out until later what the problem was; I was lucky not to have a blowout on the highway. I hope your car's repair is easy and inexpensive.

So sorry that you still have to put up with medication side effects and all the related troubles. You're a tough lady to push through that every day. My headache fuzzies are small by comparison. You take care, too.

A quick note about Joshua: he meets with his oncologist on the ninth to set up and begin chemo. His voice sounds strong and determined. I truly appreciate all prayers!

What a great thought, to treat everyone to cinnamon buns! One of my co-workers brings in a box of Munchkins from Dunkin Donuts every Friday.

Good morning everyone! Came back from a morning walk with my dog and nearly finished my coffee which I had made in a Christmas mug today for the first time this year. What a good start of the day. ^^
I am going to Klaipėda today to see my friend and, hopefully, do some shopping. I need few more things to buy for the uni. Also, I need to look for a present for my aunt. Her birthday is coming on Monday so my mum asked me to find something nice. We are desperate.

Thank you!

I've had plenty of headaches since I was a child, but as far as I know, never a migraine (although I've had occasional visual-only migraines---those weird visual patterns that start small, spread, and are over in about 20 minutes). But sometimes I DO get the fuzziness and fatigue after a headache passes. Just hoping I'll be sharper in the morning. Resting doesn't seem to help.

I have gotten those visual only migraines! I just started getting them about 2 years ago and the first time it happened it scared me a bit. Now I know what to do, just lay down and close my eyes. It hurts to try and look at anything. They usually tend to hit when I am rushing around trying to get something done like maybe stress is triggering it? They don't hit when I am relaxing. When I mention stress I am not talking about that I am all upset but just my mind is racing thinking of all the things I need to get done and I am in a hurry then that visual only migraine kicks in! I usually feel wiped out when it's over and might have a very slight headache but not a enough to have to take medication. As far as painful headaches, I rarely get those.

I sure hope you feel better soon!!!

Sorry I haven't been able to reply to that many posts lately. We have been so incredibly busy getting my daughter ready for college. Today we were finally able to relax for a while and it was really nice. Tomorrow is our last full day together before she leaves. I have to admit I'm having a really hard time with it. I have such bad anxiety. I wish I didn't worry so much, but that's just the way I am. I know she will be fine. Anyway, you have all been in my thoughts. I hope everyone is well. I understand. Leaving our son at college was one of the most difficult things we've ever done. It's now been 13 days and we still miss him terribly. It's touch when you go to the grocery store and think of buying something he likes then realizing he is not there.

So glad to see August ending. Since I was a child, August has been my least favorite month. Seems like nothing good happens in August. The constant summer heat is getting old, no holidays, & kids going back to school. Just not a good month.

Enough of me complaining. Have a blessed day everyone. Hurry up & get here September.
