Yesterday I told my boss I would be at work and to go ahead and tell the other girl she don't have to come in. Shortly after I text him to tell him that I started feeling bad again but told Wayne too late now, I need to go in. When I got to work my boss said the other girl will be there anyway because he was not sure if I really was up to it. He gave me the decision to either go on home right away or work half a day. A few hours into work I guess he saw I wasn't feeling well so he told me to go home and rest! Wayne came and picked me up and was joking around with my boss and said to me, "good job sweetie on looking sick, your plan worked to come home early and watch the Cowboys play"! Ha ha! My boss started laughing. Well, I get home to watch the Cowboys not doing so well. At half time I text my boss and said, "Can I come back to work, the Cowboys are losing"?! He texted back, "Did you jinx the Cowboys by going home too early"?

Wayne has to go to the doctor this morning. His leg has been achy for nearly a month and now his foot started tingling last week. We are hoping it's just an injury that needs to heal and not anything to do with circulation.

I will keep Wayne in my thoughts, and hope its nothing serious.

Thank you, Holiday! She seems all better now ~ being a playful little stinker today. cheesy

Enjoy your day off tomorrow!

Thank you!! That makes me happy to read she's a playful little stinker!

Good evening, MMC!

I hope this finds everyone well!

Long day and I am very sleepy, but I still have some paperwork to do. At least the chores are done!

The three day forecast shows that there is a threat of tornadoes for my area on Wednesday. I'm sure the forecast will change before then, but it is still a bit worrisome. After Wednesday, it is all fall temperatures for the foreseeable future. Woo Hoo!

Best get to work. TTYT

Be safe and MERRY, my Christmas friends!

Hope your paperwork gets done quick! And I hope they are wrong about tornado's!! xx Have a great night Meceka!

I love Menard's, too. There are pictures on my cell that I took of The Enchanted Forest for the Blossoms thread from last year. I still haven't figured out how to send the photos to my email. Guess I can delete them and take new ones this year. cheesy

Thank you so much, HmG! Keeping your fur babies in my prayers! {{{HUGS}}}

Congratulations to Monica on the birth of Piper. Piper is a cutie!

Happy Birthday to Bud!

I'm so sorry for your loss, Brent. Keeping Bruce and his family in my prayers.

I can't get any of those channels or services because of cost/where I live. Hoping there are some good deals on DVDs this year!

I'm so glad that Adrian is okay and made it home safe and sorry about the truck. Praying things will work out! {{{HUGS}}}

That is a bittersweet story. Keeping Turtle's former fur parent in my prayers. I'm glad he knows that his baby will be well-loved!

Thank you, Meceka!

Good evening!
I just read through the posts quick, its the first time I've had a chance to sit down and relax. I thought it was going to be a pretty quiet day for me but I got an unexpected call from the preschool this morning asking me to come in because they were short handed. I went in to help them out for a few hours and of course my entire day was thrown off. While I was there the school director was begging me to work all five days instead of just Tuesday & Thursday. I originally turned down working all five days because I thought it would be too much for me. This time they offered me shorter shifts on M/W/F instead of full days. I guess I'm going to try it and see how it goes. I have to be back there at 8:00am. I might not be able to pop in here first thing every morning, I'll have to see how it goes. If not I will definitely check in at some point during the day. I hope everyone had a nice day and enjoys the rest of the evening!
Goodnight MMC!

Good luck HMG!!!!xx

Well I must quickly give you all Snow-in-Texas health report. His circulation is just fine!!! Thank God! That was our main concern. He is being treated for a sciatic nerve.

Other good news, two weeks ago when he saw his cardiologist his blood pressure was on the high side but not enough to put him on meds. It has always run a bit high. I discussed with Wayne to start eating healthier, low sodium, exercise and he agreed. I already eat healthy majority of the time so he just joined me. His blood pressure went down to 120/81!!! That's the lowest it has ever been! We were so happy to hear that!

I am feeling a lot better today too!

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers!

Snowflake, thanks again for asking the chiropractor about back injuries. It seems this is what Wayne has that is causing the problems.

I am glad to hear that.

Thanks to everyone for your immense support. It's fantastic to have a family on here and I know that Bruce appreciates your support. I may be 9 hours away from him, but I know your positive energy is helping him continue.

Almost forgot, Valeirie is on QVC from 1 to 3 edt tomorrow with fall decor.

Kim had to stop by Wal-Mart this evening. Although she didn't quite find the item for which she was looking, I had to make my way toward the seasonal section. Despite Kim's persistence that I would not find any Christmas decorations, I had quite a big smile on my face when I found the following:

Oh, there's Christmas lights, too!

I also spotted these after grocery shopping:

To be honest, I was very hesitant to post the above pictures. I wanted to save them for the Blossoms thread, but I thought it was a little early to save them for that. Moreover, there are only Christmas items on the shelves and no real Christmas decorations that we all know and love. Therefore, I felt OK posting the images a little early. Hope you all enjoyed!!

The Christmas Season is truly on its way. The "creep" has begun! Let's continue to celebrate and enjoy as the "ber" months bring us the joy for which we wait the entire year!

Good evening,

The usual long day at work today, day off tomorrow, I get a bonding day with Turtle tomorrow. Most of the cats are having a hard time adjusting to Turtle, Gomez especially. He hid for over 24 hours straight, poor thing, he is afraid of his own shadow to begin with so this is really tough on him. Sidney seems to be the only one who likes him so far.
Just listening to some Quo before bed, it is one month from tonight that the Bruins season opens, I cannot wait!

Good night, everyone!!!

Awesome finds!! I can't wait until that stuff comes out around here.
I am excited for you, too! I am sure.your face will just as beaming as mine. I was nearly holding back tears. The power this Season has on us is just amazing.

Now that Turtle is here I can tell you how he came to us.

I am not a dog person, I never really have been. I haven't had a dog since I was 15-16 years old. My wife and her family are dog people, my wife has wanted a Chocolate Lab for years.

Turtle is a Chocolate Lab, he is 6 years old and from Tennessee. We received a text from a friend of my wife with his picture, telling us his furparent needed to find a new home for him. His furparent had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and was only given 6 months to year to live, and Turtle was becoming too hard to take care of.

We contacted him and started asking about Turtle, learning about him and asking everything about him. We became very interested and let his furparent know we were. He told us he was giving him away to someone he felt would be good for him and take care of him. He selected us and all we had to do was to pay for the transport of him from Tennessee to Massachusetts. The furparent turns out to be one of the nicest people we have ever talked to, it is bittersweet that we got his baby because of his diagnosis, but we are lucky enough to be the ones he chose to take care of Turtle.

Turtle is a great dog, very smart, well trained and loves the kids. It made the decision easy to take him since we didn't have to go through the puppy stages, being my first dog in 20+ years I didn't know if I could handle those stages with 2 young boys and 5 cats.

Day 2 with Turtle has gone well, my wife and kids are adoring him, I am still adjusting to it, but so far it is going well.
I think this is the best story I have read in a very very long time. Thanks for sharing!!
