Well, another day down here. Been a few tough ones. There is a lot of things going on here and I am getting a feeling that we are about to go down a difficult road as a district. Just a lot of worries....

I've told my boss today that I was going to look for another job. She insisted that I not, but I get the feeling that my welcome has worn out as a principal here. Stinks that it's my hometown, but it might be time for a change. I truly believe in the saying that you will either leave a hero or stay too long and die a villain. If anyone has any tips for knowing when you have wore you welcome out, I sure would appreciate it.

While it has been hard, my spirits are still high. I know that in all jobs one of three things will happen: you get fired, you leave, or you die. Someone else is going to have your job. I've always known that and been comfortable with it. No matter what, the most important thing is family and I'm blessed with that.

Didn't mean to bring a damper to the pines, but I was just would like some advice on my earlier question.

Yall have a good night!

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Sounds like your job is keeping you busy! How is your daughter doing since she has come back from college?

My daughter is doing well! I am so happy that she is home, she's feeling much better and is back to her old self. She's been working everyday so she's keeping busy. And she's weighing her options about which local school she will be attending. She is close to making a decision. Thank you for asking!

Good morning, MMC~
We leave on our trip today. We hope to make it to Door County by dinner time. Hope you all have a nice Thursday! Wishing you a blessed day!

Have a fun and safe trip!
xoxo

Good morning!
Just a quick hello, I'll be leaving for work in a little while. We have open house again this evening so it will most likely be another busy day for me. I hope everyone has a great day, I'll see you later tonight!

I don't know all the details but I doubt you have worn out your welcome. It might be a rough patch you hit and it feels as though you have worn out your welcome when others around you might not feel the same. Your boss seems confidant about you so that's great to hear! Things happen to all of us in all jobs and in most cases when you push through the hard times, that's when you come out a hero, not a villain. People around you see you as a fighter and not giving up.

Of course when it comes down to it, you are the only one that can make that decision since we are all not sure exactly what you are facing. If it's really hard on you emotionally and physically then it might be time to move on and do something that makes you happy! Happiness comes first and when you feel happiness that is the best for you and your family. Wishing you the best of luck, friend! I will keep you in prayer!

I think Festive Spirit said it well! - "Listen to your heart and the rest will follow".

I think the answers often lie in our hearts. Sometimes it's a feeling you get that you just can't avoid even though there may be rational reasons to oppose. Many years ago, I had a dream job that I decided to leave. Nothing was wrong and everything was going perfectly but I wanted to travel. Everyone thought I was crazy to want to leave. I had just got a promotion, a company car and a hefty raise. But it was a feeling I couldn't ignore. That decision lead to my life now. So I guess my point is - listen to your heart and the rest will follow. Best of luck to you :)

That is fantastic! I admire what you did.

I had a better paying job prior to the one I have now but I was miserable! The job itself was just fine but being a landlord's assistant for an apartment complex was very stressful. We had a lot of good residents but it was a few that really made my job hard and the worst part of it all, I had to live in the same complex with them. It was hard to "come home" when your shift is over. The job is with you 24/7 and sometimes people knock on your door all hours of the night and holidays. We would even get knocks on the door Christmas morning with petty complaints. One Christmas morning while opening presents with the kids we got a knock on the door with someone complaining they needed a stopper for their sink! Not an emergency!!! I told them to use a plastic margarine lid (which will work, I have used them before!) and we will take care of it tomorrow.

Okay with all that, I am thrilled with my job I have worked at for nearly 12 years now and surrounded with good people! A little less money but way more happiness!!!

I realize not everyone can do that but I feel fortunate enough to be able to.

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Good morning everyone!

I am wide awake since 4 a.m. That's really weird but my stomach was making strange sounds all night so this probably didn't let me sleep more. It's nearly 8 a.m. now and I am starting to get sleepy. ^^ I will try to beat it with coffee and a book. :]

More reading, research and writing for me today. How 'exciting' saying the same thing over and over again. ^^

Have a nice day!

I have been up since 4 am too! Coffee for me but a book will put me to sleep! cheesy

Morning all. It's a foggy damp October day here. Just the way I like it lol. Have a good one folks.

Yes! It's a popular spot year round, but since Fall is my favorite, I like to go there then :) Amazing colors! Winter is gorgeous, too. They have all kinds of holiday events. It is very quaint, many lighthouses & historic places to visit. Never enough time to do everything you want!

We hit a high of 98 degrees a couple of days ago, have been in the lower 90's all week and will remain that until tomorrow. Still no AC here but guess what? It gets fixed on Saturday when we will hit a high of 70 degrees! When it gets fixed I no longer need it. That's okay, at least it will be ready for another hot day because I know we will have a few more before the month is over.

I hope you all have a Merry Day!!! :yahoo:

Sounds beautiful!!!

Sure you don't want to come to Texas where it's hot and everything is still green?!

At least we get a cool down starting this weekend!

Good morning one and all!!!! I guess it's been close to a week now since I have posted to the site...Well, we moved, all went well, it took 5 moving vans, 15 guys and 2 days to get us all moved in to our new home.... We have been steady un-packing, organizing and arranging, re-arranging the furniture to get it into a location where it all makes sense and looks good.

I have also been working out in the field all week since Monday morning, so I have not been able to log in to the internet. I will only be able to log into the internet only from work, due to we do not have any internet access from home yet.

We placed an order for a hard line to be installed to the house (the previous home owner never had that done), the cable company will have to install it underground for 800 feet, to get it to the house. They said it will take up to 2 months for that to happen, at a cost of $3500.00+/- to us....
Oh well, what can we do?

Anyhow, all is well, the house is wonderful and we are getting settled in....I will continue to check in, every chance I can at the office.

Good to have you back!

That's a lot of work and cost to have the hard line put in but will be worth it in the end. Hope it all goes smoothly!

Good Morning, Everyone.

Still marching, we are.
Marching on toward that place -- that goal -- that holy grail that is Christmas Season 2014.

The numbers:
Days to the Season: 36
Days to Christmas Day: 78

Just barely over half a week to go now to the one month mark.
(One month to the Season, that is!)

Good weather is holding.
It's really a nice time of year here in NC.
But October and April are about it. The other 10 months are generally too warm and humid or too cool.
(But then, I'm getting particular in my old age. Prefer temperate climates, you see.)
Right now, we are at 56 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Folks.
Weekend Eve once again tomorrow, you know!

Good Morning MMC !

it is a chilly chilly morning here at only 0c (32f) thick frost on van

Working today, the paid kind.

Hope you all have a fantastic day!!!
