Christmas Countdown - 2014

[Christmas-A-Holic]

Good Afternoon ... we have been enjoying this fall weather. Finally got the outside decorated for Fall/Halloween. Still working on the inside of the house. I love fall /winter and all the holidays but for some reason I am just not really into Halloween this year. Not sure if its been because we have been so busy that we are behind on decorating and baking butttt my thought do keep turning towards Christmas!!!

We have been busy repainting some rooms that are long over due and we are havingnew carpet installed in the living room next week. Hoping by the end of the next weekend the household projects will be done so we can relax and really enjoy the season.

Maybe you will feel up to Halloween more as the day approaches!

I will finish decorating outside when the weather cools down.

Oh I feel your pain! It is SO hard to leave town and leave the furry family members behind. We just got our chihuahua, Niles, in March of this year. I have traveled twice since we got him and he refused to eat while I was away. As soon as I walk in the door he greets me and suddenly very hungry! I guess since he was a rescue from the shelter and he is so bonded to me now he might be afraid he will be abandoned again. Breaks my heart! He is in good hands when I leave but then I feel awful worrying about his anxiety.

Now that story probably didn't help you a bit! I am sorry if it stressed you out but just sharing what happens with my baby when I leave. I am sure Harlowe is doing very well! Have a wonderful time!!!

That's what I worry about too, her anxiety. But she adores my parents, so its just getting over the initial they left me shock and then she'll be okay [emoji175]

Oh my gosh! That drive sounds beautiful! I can picture it all right now. That is amazing!!!

I remember our drive to Maryland October 2011. Wayne was freaking out on my reaction with all the "oooh's and awww's". I have traveled a lot but it was my very first trip up north during the fall. I was like a little kid in total amazement. I told him I couldn't believe how beautiful Maryland was and other states we traveled through. Wayne admitted he didn't realize it was all that special until he moved to Texas. He saw Maryland a little different with that trip back home. You can see photos all day long of fall but it just don't do it justice until you see it for real!

There are so many pumpkins for sale on the honor system around here, I just love it! Barns, corn mazes, apple farms. So cozy.

And you are right, you don't fully realize the beauty until you're away from it [emoji169]

Good afternoon, MMC!

Gorgeous day here, but a bit windy. I had a few minutes the other day and I thought I would check in here, but when I clicked on the site, I found out I had logged out and of course, I couldn't remember my password. Figures I would do something silly like that! There is a lot going on here right now with both family and work, and there is a lot of stress, so I have been operating on automatic pilot, so to speak. So glad I finally remembered the password because I couldn't Chrome in like the last time I forgot!

No time to catch up, unfortunately. I hope this finds everyone well! Praying for all!!!

Good luck with the remodel project!!! When I went home for lunch the carpet layers were just rolling out our carpet! Ahhhhh - good feeling!! Have fun!!!

Sounds like a fabulous vacation! I thought I was the only one that already missed my doggies even before I leave for a vacation! I try to take them when I can but some vacations don't allow it, cruise or train. You should witness the anxiety I have when I do have to leave them home, no fun! I calm down eventually and enjoy my time away. cheesy

Cry like a baby, if I have to leave Ella behind and don't get to see her, just like I do the kids. It's heartbreaking!

I understand the feeling of not being into halloween....I look at halloween as pre-Thanksgiving. I dread Octobers every year. Long story behind why I do, but I joined this site in October because looking forward to Thanksgiving/Christmas season is all that gets me thorough this month. Always keep your thoughts towards the Christmas season!! Good luck with the repainting and having some time to relax!!

Whew, just got back from my sister's house here a few minutes ago. It was a long day but I got a lot accomplished for her. Now I'm going to kick back and relax for a bit before the colts game tonight. I don't know if I will get back to reply to everyone but I did read all of the posts. We made it to Door County! It was wonderful to go over the drawbridge to Sturgeon Bay, brought back many childhood memories.
We are going to freshen up and go for a walk down by the water and grab some dinner!

Good morning MMC! Happy Friday Eve!!!! It's a chilly, rainy day in Ohio ~ supposed to rain all day! Makes me want to take a nap! It was another late night last night - working on the house, but today is carpet day!! Finally! I'm drinking my coffee, Christmas Apple candle is burning, it's almost Friday - ahhh, love it!

We caught a mouse in the office this morning. UGH! I was sitting here at the computer when I heard the snap! YUCK!!! I guess it's that time of year!

Yep, they are cutting the fields down around here so I wouldn't be surprised to see a mouse or two. Especially now that our neighbors have moved out and taken their cats that they use to let roam around outside.

Looking forward to a long weekend. Mr. and I are taking off from work tomorrow and our offices are closed Monday. We'll be celebrating a special wedding anniversary. No particular plans---we'll just hang out together and do what we feel like---eat out, maybe go to the fair, whatever. We're just as happy together as the day we wed. It's an incredible blessing to spend your life with the one you love best in all the world.

And the fall weather today, and predicted for tomorrow---perfect. Cool and bright, with colorful foliage sprinkled all around.

Santa came through my till today!!
He was great, and has been playing the role for many years.
Brightened up my day it did !
