Good morning, everyone!
Sunday has arrived. Despite Thanksgiving Day being on a Monday, most of us up here celebrate everything on the Sunday. It is just so much easier to use Monday for travel purposes. Tonight, I am ready for all the fixings! A few plates full of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing/dressing, beans, and many other delicious foods along with some pumpkin pie will be delicious! As I have always said, I like our date for Thanksgiving because it allows me to dedicate more time to Christmas, but I like the whole American festivities with it landing on a Thursday. It's always nice to have one last holiday as you head into the sprint to Christmas Day. I guess we're all lucky - in North America - to have such a day.
Well, we're heading out to the apple orchard shortly to grab some fresh apples and possibly a few homemade crafts, apple cider and apple cider donuts. Mmmmmm! In previous years, they have also had some beautiful Christmas stuff out. I hope it is the same this year. I'll be sure to have my phone/camera handy.
Highs to reach about 13c/55f today. Sun all day, too. Not bad for the middle of October, and yet another Thanksgiving Day. Oh, and, of course, I'm ready for some football, too! As soon as the Packers game is over, I'll head over to Kim's sisters to begin the festivities. The Packers come first!
Have a great Sunday, everyone! May you continue to enjoy your long weekend!
