Christmas Countdown - 2014

can't stop yawning and its not even 9pm yet!

Spent time today working on competition cake, so much to do on it.
Tomorrow I want to work on it most of the day since everything is closed anyway for Thanksgiving. So far there is about 20 hours of work in this and I am still on the bottom layer! I did position second layer because I need it in place before I can finish the bottom one. I have multicolored fingers from the food coloring.

Can't show you any pictures until after competition is judged, I read through all the rules and it is not allowed to post pictures anywhere on line until then.

My brother replaced the right wheel bearing on the van yesterday. On the way to his place got a flat tire. I had left my phone at home!! Took 5 tries before I could get someone to stop so I could call CAA. Then the tow truck driver could not get my spare tire to release from under the back of the van, so he towed me to my bothers place. That was when it was discovered I need two new tires. :-o
The family thanksgiving party was great so that made up for all the problems. I am so blessed to have a brother that looks after a lot of my van repairs for me.

Have a fun time working on the cake tomorrow! I can't wait to see it!

I work tomorrow, but at least it is time and a half day.

[Festive Spirit]

Merry Monday!!! You know I can't believe how quickly the weeks are going by! Crazy! November will be here soon and that is going to be my official start, I think. I can't wait any longer than that for Christmas movies and music lol

In the meantime, I am so excited for Halloween. The children will be off school that week on mid term break. It will be great fun!

Hope you all had a glorious weekend. Snowflake how was your trip? MerryCarey, I hope you and Mister had a lovely anniversary weekend.

I had a busy one , I didn't even get around to putting up my Halloween stuff like I wanted!! I bought a couple Halloween wooden plaques though - discounted - £1.79 for the both !

Lots of Christmas in the shops now and it's growing! Love it!

Tomorrow is my little one's birthday - he will be 3!!! Today I need to bake and decorate his cake. I'll be focusing on that and a bit of laundry today. I'm giving myself a day off lol!
