Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good afternoon everyone!
The weather today here is absolutely perfect.
Sunny, not a single cloud, a bit crispy and smells like winter.
I really enjoyed going to and from the campus.
I have to start writing my essay today but I'm thinking leaving it for the evening and going for another long walk along the river a bit later.
'Cause you never know when is the next time we get such a lovely day outside.
I saw 'Starbucks' Christmas ad outside the coffee shop so Holiday menu must be now out. How exciting! ^^

I know exactly what you mean about getting outside while you can b/c you never know the next time we'll have such a nice day - that's exactly how I felt Monday after work. I should have been inside getting some things done, but it was soooo nice outside, I wanted to take advantage! :smile: Enjoy your beautiful day!!!! :-D

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be another cool day here in central Indy with a high right around 60 degree's. Tomorrow we really start cooling down again though and we may even see some more snow. Today is another important day here. Mom's appeal hearing for her unemployment is this afternoon. Luckily we don't have to go anywhere for it. It's all just done over the phone. So I'm going to be spending the morning making sure she has her side of the story wrote down so when she is talking to the judge, she doesn't forget anything. Then after that is all over, I'll probably get back to my cleaning. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

I hope the appeal hearing goes well, sending prayers ~

I'm full into listening to Christmas music now, and looking forward to the MMC official beginning of the season. The following weekend I usually go to a local garden center, which is huge and full of Christmas trees, ornaments, villages, decorations, and other Christmas goodies! (I've seen a banner ad for them on MMC occasionally.) This year will be more looking than buying, but I don't care. It's a fine way to kick off the season.

It's a little warmer around here today, but it's supposed to frost again this weekend. I like it!

Not much to report today. I've been a bit swamped here at work, so I'm going to get back at it.

I hope I don't mess up the count tomorrow! Crown has some BIG shoes to fill...uh, figuratively speaking, I mean. I don't know anything about those massive feet. Carl hasn't been telling any jokes about Crown skiing without skis. :wink:

Good morning MMC! Happy Hump & Pines Day!!! :busy:

Well, I found out last night we are definitely hosting Thanksgiving lunch for my in-laws! I'm excited & also at the same time, a have a little "ugh" feeling about it...but it will be fine. I am all about the whole tradition of Thanksgiving - turkey, yummy pumpkin things...always too much food. BUT I think this year we are going to do it different & we are going to have turkey ribs. They are really delicious, easy & since we also have supper with my family, I want to keep lunch a little lighter. Last year we were so miserable after lunch with the in-laws, we didn't even eat at my families get together....and we had SO MUCH leftover food! Anyway.... we have lots to get done between now & then. EEK! I also told my hubby we need to talk to my SIL to see if we can switch off Easter & Thanksgiving. One year I host Easter & she hosts Thanksgiving & we switch the next year. One of these years I would like to have my family over for Thanksgiving again ~ and that would be a lot to have both families on the same day...which is how it always works out. Ok - enough babbling! Lol

I have a quiet office again today ~ the funeral mass should be just starting for my bosses Mom. Such a sweet lady!

I have Christmas on TV....
