Good afternoon, momnan!
That sounds like a wonderful day! We all deserve one every once in awhile! Enjoy =]
How are you guys?
Did you get any snow yet?

(((Hugs)))

:tree:
Hi snowflake!
No snow here and I can't say I'm mad at that. I'd like to get our lights out before it snows too much. In years past, that was miserable to work in!
How about you...making the switch from Fall to Christmas decor yet?
I've been having way too much fun at Target finding really fun decorations and trim!

We got hit [starting] a few days ago, and continuing through today. Freezing rain & heavy snow! It's difficult to drive in, but oh so beautiful!

I started decorating last weekend! Really early for me, but I needed some cheer  And we also have plans the next two weekend, so I thought why not!

I need to check out Target- Can't wait to hear about your decorations!!

Good morning, MMC!
Wishing you a safe, blessed, and beautiful day!

Good afternoon!
My boys are 11 years old today ♡♡
Wow, time travels fast
I'm making Christmas dinner today - their choice!
So I better start

Wish you all a BEAUTIFUL day [emoji813]

Happy Birthday to the boys, Solice!!! Hope you're all having a great day!

Good morning, everyone!

It appears that I made a mistake. I thought I had work Tuesday and Wednesday this week. After checking my assignments, I work Monday-Wednesday next week. I'll take that. There were no calls for today. I received a call for Friday. Hopefully something will come for tomorrow.

I hope everyone has gotten their Remembrance/Veterans/Armistice Day started off on the right foot. It's the final big day before the Christmas Season begins on Thursday, but it certainly demands all of our attention.

Today, I will take advantage of the above seasonal temperatures (12c/55f) and pay my respects by watching the celebration at the National War Memorial. It is simply the least I can do.

I hope everyone has the opportunity to remember and say a heavy-hearted thank you to someone in uniform today. Have a great day, everyone!

Good evening, Brent and hope you're enjoying the day!

Christmasstar, praying your brother gets a good report. Let us know.

xmas365, great special post, thanks!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Nancy and I took Elizabeth to her ballet class yesterday evening, and we went to Lowe's and Walmart while she practiced. Last Christmas, we bought my mom an electric fireplace for her place in the mountains, but she didn't really want to move her furniture around to make room for it, so we finally took it back yesterday. LOL

Then Bernie wanted us to pickup some turkeys for him to smoke and sell at the store. We bought twenty-one 15-18 pound turkeys! People were giving us the craziest looks as we rolled all that down the aisle! The guy in the meat market got away from us as fast as he could. We had him helping sort the turkeys by weight.

I'm thankful for our veterans, especially today!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Hope you're having a great day, Brad!

Hello everyone. Happy Veterans Day to all on here who have served, are serving, or are the supportive family member to someone serving (yall sacrifice along with our veterans!)

Have a great Tuesday!

Thursday hello to everyone! :-)

What, it's only Tuesday? Feels like it should be later in the week.

This week does feel like it's going fast already! Hope you're having a great day!

Heading toward another 9+ hour day ... well, call it job security. (Update: Maybe 10+ hours. And maybe be here an hour or two early tomorrow ...)

I have a day off on Friday, but I have to take my car to have the damage appraised, then take the paperwork and arrange to get it fixed. Well, it serves me right for being clumsy on Monday.

One good thing is that when I finally get out of here tonight, I can listen to Christmas music all the way home. And celebrate because Mr. was hired by a temp agency today, so he'll soon be getting assignments from them. My workplace uses that agency, so he'll probably be covering for me during some of my days off in December, if he's not otherwise assigned.

So glad to here about Mr.! Sorry about your long days though. I'm having some myself. I hope you have a great week!

Special Post Day #4

"So the legend of Saint Nicholas is a lovely and delectable myth, the last living relic of the vanishing world of dreams. The fairies are gone. No little children or maidens watch any longer through the ardent summer nights to catch some echo of the songs. The witches are gone...Santa Claus alone still lingers with us. For Heaven's sake, let us keep him as long as we can.
There are some excellent people who are scrupulous about deceiving their children with such legendary nonsense. They are mistaken. The children learn to see soon enough, too clearly and too well, or to think they do. Ah, leave them at least one thrill of passionate mystery that may linger with them when the years begin to grow too plain and dull and bare. After all, in this universe of ignorance, anything may be true, even our dreams."
-Gamaliel Bradford 1925

We are now two days away from the most magical time of the year, a time we all look forward to starting December 26 the year before. As our friend Ballcoach so eloquently put it, "Santa Claus is real."
In this season we have been looking forward to, I am a little hesitant to go through it as I usually do. My oldest is 9 years old, and I worry that this may be the last year that Santa Claus may exist for him. He was very skeptical last year, and a lot of questions were beginning to come. He would ask very vague questions, and we would answer how we could without ruining it for him. He wants to believe, you can see it, but I have a feeling that peer pressure is getting to him, and we will be telling him the everything sooner rather than later.

So this year let the magic flow, let Santa be the big guy to the children for as long as you can. This magic from my youth has made me such a lover of Christmas throughout my life that I want my kids to have that same feeling that I still get, the smile I get as Christmas gets closer. That feeling that fills your heart during this time of year. The warm smiles from strangers. The anticipation of Christmas morning that makes it so hard to fall asleep, and wakes you up before the sun comes up. Christmastime is nearly upon us, the build up of the season is culminating, get the decorations out, get the lights out. Make some cookies, and eat them as Santa would. Most of all share it with your loved ones.

Make the most of this season, enjoy it, and try not to let it go too fast. I look forward to celebrating this time of year with all of you again.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Great post, xmas!

Please pray for my brother, he had a TIA today, lost vision in his left eye, which is what sent him to ER in first place. He is a truck driver and happened to be home when this occurred. They let him go home but he is having an anti stroke work up tomorrow and we will know more then.

My prayers for your brother and for you are on the way, Christmasstar! {{{HUGS}}}
