Good morning, everyone!

My ears are ringing and I am tired! It's a good thing that it is Day 2 of the Christmas Season. I don't think I would have been able to stay awake while driving this morning if it wasn't for the Christmas music. I listened to one of my favourite (newer) Christmas albums "Snow Globe" by Matt Wertz on the drive, then began a decade-long favourite of mine, "Barenaked For the Holidays," of course, by the Barenaked Ladies. Normally it is a somewhat short 25 minutes to teach, instead I am about a 50 minute drive away today.

The concert last night was a lot of fun. It was great seeing one of my favourite bands (The Planet Smashers) play, again. It was my third time seeing them this year, and I've enjoyed myself a lot every time. After seeing them so much (27 times), they've come to know me and always say "Hello," when they see me. It's always good to know that they recognize and are appreciative of their fans.

TODAY!!!! Well, today is the day. Today is the day that Kim and I push our way to the very back of her closet and bring the three big rubbermaid contains of Christmas decorations into the living room to decorate. This year, we will have "Christmas" by Michael Buble and Vince Guaraldi Trio's "A Charlie Brown Christmas" on vinyl to carry us along. Hopefully Simon the cat doesn't get too carried away! I'm sure he will though... decorations and a brand new Christmas Tree?! Simon won't know what to do with himself!

While walking to meet my friend Sean last night, I saw a house about four down from me that was completely decorated for Christmas. All the lights were crystal clear and filled so much of the house. I wanted to take a photo last night, but I was in a bit of a rush... and there were already a few people outside looking at the house. I will take a photo tonight or tomorrow.

Well, the bell for class will be going shortly. My break for the day is done... Have a great Friday, everyone! The Christmas Season is here. The first weekend of the Christmas Season is so close. Christmas is everywhere! It is fantastic. Merry Christmas!

I just discovered Matt Wertz on Noisetrade in the last couple weeks. I love the song Snow Globe, and he has an absolutely great version of O Holy Night.

TGIF, my Christmas friends!

It's a little chilly here in the coastal empire this morning, and I like it! It was 38°F when I got to work this morning. Nice!

I have a busy day at work today, and a busy weekend planned, so I need to buckle-down and get it done. I hope to go see Interstellar tomorrow afternoon. The matinee prices are easier to handle .

Interstellar looks quite impressive, I want to see that one. I am hoping to get together with a couple friends and go see "Dumb & Dumber To" this weekend.

the cake is done and ready to take to the competition site tomorrow !
But you will have to wait until Sunday evening to see it as contest rules state I cannot post pictures on line until after the competition is over.
Now the hard part, getting it to the site in one piece.

Good evening!
I've been on the run all day, it's so nice to finally sit down. I did some more Christmas shopping earlier today, didn't do as well as I would have liked but I crossed a couple of things off of my list. I also had to go to the pet store, pick up a prescription at Rite Aid and stop at the butcher to order my turkey for Thanksgiving. And my husband and I went shopping for area rugs again when he got home from work. We finally decided on what we want for each room, but I refuse to buy them until he's finished painting. Speaking of paint, the kitten just stepped in some. It wasn't fun trying to clean her up but I got most of it off. I'll leave the paw prints that are all over the wood floor for my husband to clean, lol. I'm beat!

Another week and a half to go for the major rush on frozen turkeys, they really stop selling the Monday before Thanksgiving.

I am really looking forward to "Northpole" tomorrow night, Hallmark seems to really be making a push on this movie. I have seen merchandise everywhere for sale for this movie.

It is mid-November and my Crazy Christmas T-shirt collection has grown by 2 so far this year.
I have picked up "This Guy" here:

and this one.

I know, it must be a sickness

Another week and a half to go for the major rush on frozen turkeys, they really stop selling the Monday before Thanksgiving.

Decorating started today. This will be the first time that we don't finish in one day. Kim and I are adjusting to decorating in this apartment/house for the first time. Of course, Simon the cat is causing us to not put out a few things as well. I was only allowed to take one photos (since we're not yet done). The Tree and other things will be completed tomorrow.

I have been running on about six hours of sleep - I am used to around 8. I am exhausted. I hope everyone had a great Friday!

Great discovery! I first heard him two years ago on the Merry Podcast. I was hooked, immediately. Snow Globe is such a fun and enjoyable song. It was the first song I heard as well. The video for Snow Globe has a fun feel to it as well. His version of O Holy Night is also a fantastic listen. The whole album is super good. I've always wondered why radio stations haven't picked up playing any of his stuff... at least, none that I have heard.

[Holiday]

Evening all! I am just making dinner. Baked chicken and stuffed potatoes with coleslaw. I am so hungry. I spent most of today cleaning and tidying the living room. It is ready to be decorated I can't wait to put the tree up especially as it is a new tree. I am dying to see what it will be like! We are meant to put it up next weekend but at this rate I won't be surprised if it goes up tomorrow hahaha. Mr Festive suggested we do so last night but I'm not sure if he was joking.

Brent - I see you are are putting up yours! I look forward to the photos! Have a merry time!

I am so excited! I'm ready for your tree to go up! LOL! My hubby had to stop on his way home from work to move my sister in laws tree (his sister) to the corner of her room tonight, (she had it put together, but not in the right spot & her hubby is out of town...) so if he can do that for her, there is absolutely no reason he can complain about me putting up my tree now, right???? :lol:

Tomorrow I'm taking my mom out so she can do some secret shopping for my dad. Since her stroke, it's harder for her to get around, but she still has her charm and wit. I had an idea for her and I to treat our men to a fabulous unexpected portrait of us together wearing costumes from the 'Roaring Twenties' or perhaps we'll go "Old West" instead. It's an expensive idea, but something they'll keep and enjoy while my mom and I can have a grand time dressing up and bonding; I think its worth it. We always wind up buying clothes for our husbands so why not do something different this year. I think she'll go for it!
