Love the candy cane at work idea, I think I will borrow that to give out candy canes to the kids at my till .

Hi friends! Wanted to check in and say hi! In in my kitchen, watching the snow fall out the window and baking away! So far, I've baked cinnamon rolls and I'm about to put in blueberry muffins . I still have to make cookies, 2 pumpkin pies, a pumpkin roll. I ordered a cherry pie and a Dutch pie off a neighbor, so I a least already have that checked off! I'll check back in later to caught up!

Have a great dinner tomorrow! The main reason I am cooking so much today is that for once I want to enjoy the Macy's parade without getting sidetracked..that is such a tradition going back to childhood,,I still love to see santa at the end!

That is still my favorite part, I get chills when I see the man in red. cheesy

Good evening everyone. I've been working really hard trying to get ready for tomorrow. I have a few more things to do and then I'm going to call it a night. I'll be waking up super early to put that turkey in the oven. Thanks to everyone who said a prayer for Maggie. There's no ear infection and her doctor ruled out a few other things. But she does hear "crackling" in her lungs so we started her on an antibiotic just in case something's brewing. Maggie's been through this before so I'm sure everything will be fine. I am beyond tired but I'm really looking forward to being with my family tomorrow. Thanksgiving is a lot of work but it is so worth it. I hope everyone is well and had a nice day. I will see you in the morning, goodnight & sweet dreams!

Just getting back from the airport...the plane was even 5 min early! We waited along time for the luggage but that was because it was a full plane from Memphis. We are back safe and sound and at 10pm the temp is a mild 37F low tonight around 30. Tomorrow is going to be perfect sunny high around 48F. Maybe some flakes around dec7th(fingers crossed) . We have our tree up and yard lights up but will officially turn them on tomorrow night(think clark Griswold when he kicks the reigndeer across the yard.lol that usually happends to me the first few times I try to get everything worked out...I am not a very good handy man with lights.lol well good night I need to get some sleep we all have a big day ahead..I hope you all sleep good and have visions of turkeys and yams and hams and everything else good running through your heads!!! talk to yall tomorrow!!!

Hey friends! Hope all is well! Been a rough couple of days around here. My cousin died Monday. We grew up together and played a lot. As we got to our teen years and college years, he went down a path that wasn't real good. One thing led to another and addiction grabbed him. He has been fighting those demons for 20 years. Sad. A life that had so much promise derailed by junk.

On a brighter note, we had Thanksgiving tonight with the inlaws and we have it with my family tomorrow. My brother is down and we hung out a bit today and we will on Friday. That's when the funeral is. We still plan on going out on Black Friday, it will just be later than normal.

I hope all of you have a great Thanksgiving! I'm looking forward to it. It will be an awesome day. Food, family, Cowboys, and the Little Bambina....what more could a guy ask for?
