Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be another overcast and rainy day with a high in the mid 40's. I have a supposedly "sick" little girl here today but she isn't acting all that sick. Running all around like a crazy girl and for having an upset tummy, she is eating me out of house and home. I'm going to try and get some cleaning done but I don't know if I will be able to or not. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Hello!!! I am 30 today, woo hoo!!

Was going to celebrate with my sister but she and my niece got the dreaded stomach bug!!! ANd my poor sister is pregnant to boot. So Noel and I will go out with my grandmom for lunch in a bit. I am lucky to have such a great family!

Other than that, we've been closely monitoring this awful shooting that happened in my town and two surrounding towns. EVeryone is on edge! Jude's school is in session today but no outdoor activities and they even had them wait inside today at drop off instead of lining up outside. I am glad they are being proactive. I have been praying for those poor girls left without their mother, grandmother, aunt, uncle, cousin, and great grandmother.

I totally forgot until last evening that yesterday was WLCP, but I had a lot planned with my kids, as I have a lot lately, that I just haven't had time to remember or check in.

Good evening everyone. Another busy day here filled with daily chores, errands and Christmas shopping. The cats vet appointment went well. Sophia goes back in three weeks for more immunizations and Bella got some medicine for her allergies. Not happy about these vet bills at Christmastime but there's nothing I can do about it. Anyway, just read through the posts quick. Can't keep my eyes open much longer so I'm going to turn in. I'll pop in tomorrow morning before work. I hope everyone had a nice day. Goodnight!

We still have no snow, which is really unusual for this time of the year. There is some snow in the forecast, but most of that is mixed with rain. We could end up with a rare green Christmas this year.

Good Morning! I am hoping we can get some holiday baking done today. My 24 year old son, who is not big on Christmas like me, is looking forward to our annual cookie baking together. Yay! I started this with him a few years ago. I baked sugar cookies, made up frosting and set sprinkles out and casually said to him, "Show your artistic skills and help me decorate". He thought it looked cool and helped me until they were all decorated.

My son is also looking forward to making his specialty noodle dish for Christmas. I nicknamed them, Christmas Noodles.

Trying to slowly "trick" him into becoming a Christmas fan! As MerryCarey told me, "Sneakily instilling Christmas traditions in your son"! :!!

Good morning MMC! Happy Tuesday!!

My night took a turn for the better since I posted last night! After going to the stores & taking Gracie for a walk, my friend texted & asked if her & her daughter could come over! They arrived within 10 minutes & brought me these wreaths for our new patio doors! (I have been looking)



They ended up staying for awhile & when my hubby came home, he had a bottle of wine he rec'd from a customer... so we decided maybe we should drink it! :lol: Pink Moscato Raspberry. It was just ok, but we enjoyed the visit! After they left I made 9 qts. of Apple Pie. Now I can give some of those away as gifts (If my hubby lets me...ha ha!) It turned into a festive Monday night! :grin: Tis the season!!!

Oh no!! That freezing rain can go away! Snow only!! :smile: Stay safe ~ and warm!!! It was nearly 50º when I came to work today, but now I think the temp is dropping - or it feels like it anyway!

Merry Tuesday!

It is the week before Christmas and we are all in the 'it's christmas' spirit . What I mean by that is , it's become the running excuse for everything lol.

Kids want to stay up a little later - ok, it's Christmas.
An extra slice of cake or two - why not it's Christmas.

LOL !
I hope you are all ready or getting there by now. I am still shopping and organising etc but everything is falling into place.

Kids and Mr Festive finish school and work on Friday for a two week break. I can't wait but at the same time I want the next few days to take it's time!

I can't believe we're a little over a week away from Christmas. This month has absolutely flown by!

I only had 1 sip of apple pie, but yes, it tasted pretty delicious. I had never made it before, so it was an experiment.
