Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good Morning, Mid-Weekers and First 'Pines Day of 2015 Anticipators.

Ah!
First Shispering Pines open house of the new year.
What will Carl have in store for us? No doubt something to kick off the new year right.
(But of course, we will have to come to see.)


But for now, the numbers:
Days to the Season: 310
Days to Christmas Day: 352

And the mathematically inclined will note that as of TOMORROW, we will have declined
in our count to SINGLE DIGITS to the 300-day Season marker, the first Milestone of 2015!
(Moving right along briskly, aren't we?)


Well, we held our own weather-wise yesterday but the bottom is just about to drop out.
A low of 10 degrees is predicted for tonight and our high will remain below freezing.
Hey. This is supposed to be the South!
(Makes me wish I still lived in Florida.)
We have started off this chilly middle of the week day at 32 degrees.


Enjoying my annual January walks around the neighborhood with Fox our dog, looking
for Christmas decorations still up. Counted between 20 and 25 houses yesterday morning out of 94.
And some of those did not decorate to begin with.
Pretty good percentage for January 6!

Good evening,

Busy day here, I got a lot done around the house.

It snowed most of the day, and going to JP's Scout meeting it was very slippery.

I finally made a photo album of my Santa collection.

The view from my door this morning, wind chill of -27c (-17f) right now.. All school buses are cancelled. A number of roads are closed, the rest are a mess. Yup it's winter !
Glad I have no where I have to go today...unless work calls. With this weather I am sure some will not be able to get in.

Stay warm and safe! Hoping they will not need you ... I can't see them having big loads of customers today in that weather.

Thanks! It was a good night & the soup was yummy!! I got a text just as I was walking out the door from work saying we were having Pizza Hut pizza (I'm not a fan) at my SIL's at 6:15 for my MIL's birthday! (which is today!) Really?? I was so hungry for 2 days for this darn taco soup. LOL!! So I texted my SIL & told her I would bring the crock pot of soup along! They are all super picky eaters, so I knew not many of them would eat it. I was shocked to see my FIL eat not 1 bowl, but 2!!! He is the pickiest eater of all! Lol! Anyway since we ended up eating earlier than normal, it was a good thing I had the soup on high for 4 hours....it all happens for a reason!
