Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good evening everyone!
Just popping in quick to say hello. Busy day here. I was at the preschool all morning, then I ran a few errands and worked on daily chores afterward. My mom stopped by for a visit and then I took my daughter to the oral surgeon this afternoon. I was there longer than I expected. Good news is he said there's no rush to have her wisdom teeth taken out, unless they are bothering her. So we'll probably wait and schedule it over the summer when there's no school. Just finished watching American Idol. I missed it yesterday, didn't realize it started this week. I don't watch too much tv but I enjoy this every year. I'm kind of beat so I'm going to turn in. I hope everyone is well, cozy & warm. See you in the morning. Hugs and prayers ~

It will be tough boxing everything away. Just remember how quickly a year goes by. It will soon be here. You will be putting those back up again soon! It's always worse in the first few weeks, you will feel better about it soon.

It's tough taking everything down, especially as January is a pretty bleak month to begin with, but like everything it passes as well. I'm already looking at the calendar thinking, what day I'll start decorating this year [emoji2] .

Thank you, I know it is tough every year, but has to be done. I already plan starting first week of November on decorating, Halloween is on a Saturday, so I will probably take down the Halloween stuff on Nov.1, and plan for Christmas to start going up on Nov. 3

Good Morning and Happy Thursday!
It's freezing out and my house is uncomfortably cold. Not sure what the problem is, maybe the heat just can't keep up. It stinks. Anyway, I don't have a lot of time. I have work in a little while and I have a lot to do before I leave. My daughter has an appointment at the oral surgeon later today for an evaluation on those wisdom teeth. I'll pop back in when I get a chance. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day. Stay warm!!!

I has warmed up here, only a windchill of -25c (-13f) this morning. We did get a large amount of snow overnight.

Work today til 4, hoping we get more people in the store so the time goes faster.

Good morning MMC! Can you say BRRRRRRRRRR! My car said MINUS 8º this morning on my way to work. Wind chill nearly -30! School is cancelled ~ shouldn't work be cancelled too??? Hmmmm!!!

After I got home from Mom/Dads yesterday I never left home again. It was just wicked outside!!! I made a new recipe for Cheddar Bread - it was ok. Hubby & I had a glass of Brown County Plum wine. It was pretty tasty ~ not my favorite, but it was pretty good. Lol! I tried to watch The Thanksgiving House, but friends were busy texting & I missed much of it! I'll have to watch again. I have seen bits & pieces before but never the whole thing.

Anyway....I'm going back to reading posts. You all have a marvelous day. Stay warm!

When I went out to warm up my car this morning, my fingers stuck to the door knob when I closed the front door. It was frigid here too.

Looks like snow is just entering Indiana...should be here around 8:00 tonight. xx After a stop at the parentals on my way home from work, I'm hoping to once again not leave home for the entire evening!!! I got fresh sausage out for supper - with leftover twice baked potatoes....why would I want to leave? cheesy

Hey All- Happy Thursday!

We had a 2 hr delay this morning due to the cold so that was nice the kiddos could sleep in a bit.

I have my beef stew cooking in the crockpit it will taste good tonight. Ww may have 1-3 inches of snow tonight we'll see!

Last night my daughter and I watched Santa Claus is coming to Town..she loves that one and so do I. Of course I had my Christmas lights going strong! :sparkle:

Mmmmmm beef stew. I have been craving a pot roast lately, I see that on a menu in the horizon soon.

I don't think I watched SCICTT this year, maybe Tuesday.

Long day here, I went turbo through today's posts.

It was chilly here, like most of the country, it was -3 when I got up this morning, and -7 by the time I got to work. Working in a cooler/freezer you dress to the weather outside, if it is cold out it will feel colder in the cooler. I wore 4 shirts, pants, long johns, 2 pairs of socks. I was still cold, outside the wind was biting right through all those layers. As soon as I got home I made a hot chocolate with whipped cream and plopped a candy cane into it. It was very yummy.

Tonight, as is my personal tradition, I shut off my outdoor lights for the final time for the 2014-15 Christmas season. I always hate to do it, but it is time, my window candles will be up until the first day of spring though.

I have switched to the mindset it is time to box it all up, I switched to regular music in my MP3 after just over 2 months of nothing but Christmas music.

I am heading to sleep shortly, got to deal with the cold and snow in the am.
